This was discussed a few pages back, but being in the US military is by no means a proxy for "Republican".

People of very diverse experience and background go into the military over there. Also, Trump has no military background and has dissed veterans so... not popular.

The military was discussed earlier on as pointed out here.

You'd think but Trump has been iffy with the army as of late. Calling dead soldiers losers and suckers, refusing to attend transfer ceremonies of returning dead solders which traditionally Presidents attend when they can, the Russian bounties of solders etc so it may not be as strong as you'd expect plus he's fucked around with their right to mail in vote and Biden had a son in the Military which comes off better than Trump's family of pricks.

Many of those overseas military votes are going to come from the Navy as well.  It might have been forgotten by many with all the bruhaha of covid, but early on the administration removed the captain of an aircraft carrier for publicly calling for help when covid was running wild through the crew.  They sent the defence secretary and his speech was leaked online for people to hear him getting booed and heckled by the crew.

I remember that now, seems like an eternity ago.

Done some more rough maths based on what CNN has just told us. By my calculations Biden should be just over 80k in front when counting is finished.

This is significant as 75k is roughly 1% of the total amount. This result would put it beyond the recount margin.

Feel free to check my sums. I’ve not slept much the last few days 😂

Trump has set up a hotline so people can report voter fraud 😂

CNN explained it so well. Trump has made a claim and now he’s looking for evidence. But he isn’t finding any.

This tactic may work in business, but it won’t work here!

Yeah, he's made the claim now so he's making a dash to find any evidence.

One of the things the letter say you must be willing to go on tv to say so with no mention of actual proof, it's gonna turn into a Springer type parade of nutters claiming fraud.

Any update on Pennsylvania? Last I heard was hours ago and Trump's lead was down to 20k.

One coming shortly.

Most big announcements tend to come on the hour so that’s probably the best time to stick CNN on if you’re not crazy like a few of us and watching it non stop.

    • Doesn't surprise me. West Yorkshire had a vote if they wanted a mayor in 2012 and voted no. The government then ignored the vote and announced the position anyway in 2016.

    • Also agree, it does feel that there isn’t much between the Mercury Prize and the Brit Awards these days.   This part sums it up for me “The complaint isn’t so much about the quality of the music, but more the disappearance of spaces for outsider voices in British music. With streaming algorithms feeling increasingly geared towards big names, and social media acting as a minefield, the Mercury’s pivot to the mainstream closes another door in the face of creative independence.”
