Well she was doing a festival headline tour in 2020. If she reschedules and Taylor doesn't, seems an obvious replacement to me.

The festivals she was headlining in 2020 were ones she hadn’t already played on this album tour, I think I’m right in saying. It’s easy to forget that she played in 2019.

Yeah, she'll need to release that second album of course.

Next year is next year though. She could have a new record out by then, and suddenly doing the festival tour could be for the new album rather than a second leg.

Wouldn’t complain at all of LDR headlines.

feel she is ready but she would need to work on stage presence. Music alone, she is more than ready. NFR played in its entirety could be a classic with the right staging.

When Emily Eavis was on radio 1 the other day she was asked if Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys or ABBA would be playing in 2021. She dismissed Coldplay and ABBA as not being there, but didnt even mention Arctic Monkeys. Might not mean anything just haven't seen anyone else mention it.

Anyone have a link to somewhere I can re-listen to this?

It was on Thursday afternoon somewhere around 1-2pm sorry I dont have link though. Maybe through iplayer?

BBC Sounds app might work, or their direct website if you scroll to the bottom of the DJ’s page. Not used either for a while though.

Whats your current guess?

Hard to say but if pushed I’d go with Arctics, McCartney, Swift right now. Reckon Kendrick would be the hold out and Arctics seem like an obvious one they’d have lined up for 2021 already. If Swift is out, Gaga to replace her.

Next year is still this year as far as live music is concerned.

I think instances of acts who weren't already working on new albums using the enforced downtime to work on another record should be treated as more of a surprise than something to be expected, as is happening a lot on here.

I mean, she's sold all the tickets to her arena tour and is already headlining festivals. Why not position the album to sell more tickets and headline festivals again in 2022 and 2023 rather than putting it out in the middle of the first album tour? At the rate she's going she could headline stadiums on album two so keep it until then would be the smart move.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
