First festival was 93 but don’t seem to have any images till 98 - fell in the mud; went through everything.

This year with my LO, her second time (her due date was a Glastonbury Sunday; so one of the few years I’ve not been)...

Though you can tell particularly from either they’re at the festival!

I don't know why, but I always feel quite sad looking at the photos from 20 or so years ago- something about the passing of time. Plus for some reason I always assume all the other people in the background succumed to tragic fates!

That's a dark take on things unless by tragic fates you mean getting obsessed with watching Love Island and no longer being interested in music which does seem to happen to a lot of people.

This is my second Glastonbury, '94. This is not my hat!

This is what the 'pyramid' looked like that year after the fire.

And 23 years later (2017), in the pit before Foo Fighters.

I'd say my dress sense has improved, but that T predates '94 by a few years...

@Kizzie Love the timeline, do you recall where you were camping in 1981?

Well, I always think we were by the tree up from the Pyramid, but looking at that old photo we seem to be quite close to a hedge.  Definitely Pyramid field though.

The Hibees version of Sunshine on Leith is absolutely fuckin beautiful and courtesy of working, i didn’t get to see em. I was gutted when I got my shifts and realised it, and I’m still a bit gutted now.

That Proclaimers set hasn't been getting enough love on here. What a magnificent way to start a Saturday.

Yes, it was ace. I shed a tear or two, the first time I heard Sunshine on Leith after getting home

A couple from 1982, we camped directly behind the old pyramid when it was in the corner & one from this year. Glastonbury has genuinely soundtracked my life. I hope to still be going in another 27 years but if i`m not I am sure the girls will carry the torch instead. Credit to my mate Andy who took all of these.

First was taken in 2003 on the Thursday.  There were 4 of us, including my friend who convinced me to attend, and also that drinking a few of the two litre bottles of Brothers was a good idea.  We had arrived that day, and after leaving the stone circle, our memories of the rest of the evening were hazy.  In those days used to almost run from stage to stage to try and catch loads of must see bands!  Those days firmly gone

Some of our group in 2019, including the friend that first introduced me (who took the photo in 2003), my wife, and my two youngest.  This was taken as we showed the first timers round on the Wednesday

This therad has got me thinking. I've got no photos at all from the Glastonburys I went to in the 90s -  93, 94 and 95. Would never have occured to me, or the people I went with, to bring a camera. I'm pretty sure I've got no photographic evidence of any festival I attended prior to about 2010.

In fact, thinking on, I'm pretty sure I didn't take any photos at all during the festival this year

Yeah, I never really bother either.  My mates tend to, and the only pics I'm really interested in are ones with them so not exactly high on my list!

The only time I did was the year people were trying to get the photo of the guy that passed away before the festival around all the stages and up to Strummerville. And I lost my damn phone with all the photos! Not bothered since then.

Back then people generally didn't bring cameras or anything else remotely valuable, because it would most probably have got nicked.
