So is that part of it staying there all year around?

Subject to a planning application, yes.

Perhaps that's why it's been painted this colour.

Anyone managed to find the planning application yet?

It’ll be painted this colour to make it blend into the horizon, they often paint the bottom half of wind turbines green, helps with planning.

I’m assuming the council get so much money from glasto they can pretty much get away with anything these days

It's going to be at Bluedot too and if it's anything like the earth they suspended from the trees last year, I can imagine it is amazing!! See said earth from last year below:

This definitely happened. I was there from the beginning of Dimension to the end of Andy C. I think they took it down either before or after Subfocus

mate I work with down there who signs off most of the structures saying they were and that they will paint it to blend as they were sure the crane part would not be allowed and that would be stored onsite. He thought they may only allow the legs

    • Possibly not as there are chair size restrictions in the seated area, for the guidelines see here -  https://www.bbc.co.uk/backstage/radio2inthepark/bring   Have a look into applying for Access and I would recommend contacting them for further advice before buying a ticket - https://www.bbc.co.uk/backstage/radio2inthepark/access  They should also be able to answer if you can take a wheelchair into the seated area 🙂
