It's not been fully announced yet but they've implied there'll be a half-moon hanging above the ground with a light show beaming up into it (and reflecting back out I'd guess?).

No shows so far - it's the first ever outing so they're going to see what the feedback is. before they add extras.

Is it good? No-one knows yet!

The Spider grew and evolved over a good number of years i gather, this will be the same is the impression i'm getting.

If those lights pointing up at the sky are part of it, that’s promising. It’s a real battle of the skies between Pangea and IICON this year. Both will have incredible light shows.

As I said above, a beautiful moon was hanging from  the crane wednesday, and very quickly taken down. Can only assume the wind has scuppered it

The moon isn’t on board now with an hour to go. That’s got to be hugely disappointing for them.

The crane is hovered over a fenced off area in which is a crane. I suspect they could attach it moments to lift off.

So what's happened to the moon ??

Just watched a bit on BBC and no moon but flames everywhere, which maybe why no moon as surely it will be on flames the way the crane was swinging round....

As of yet, not a patch on Arcadia. Presumably there’s grand plan..

I think they’ve dropped the large spherical ball. 

Probably a grand plan on paper, but this is far from what I expected, sorry to say.

I went there tonight and I have to say it's pretty incredible. The reality on the ground is that you don't really notice the lack of "moon", you just see all the lights, flames and a massive crane full of lights spinning round. It's pretty epic when you're stood underneath it.

Was up there last night and although it was impressive in its scale and the pyro was cool it just felt like something was missing. Probably a moon or something.

I enjoyed it last night, but nowhere as good as the Arcadia Spider. So was there supposed to be a moon attached to the crane? The crane just slowly spinning round didn’t amour to much

Enjoyed Carl cox last night, sound was great. Crane is a bit weird but didn’t stop me from taking loads of photos of it anyway!

I asked them on FB about the moon and it was because it was too windy to attach it but they are hoping to have it on tonight.... I can imagine it would be a H&S nightmare, as how bad would it be if moon blows into one of those flame throwers and becomes a flying fireball!!! ??
