I've also never seen Andy C on Arcadia....maybe not even at Glastonbury. Has their budget sky rocketed?

played in there on 2016/17 I believe!

So he did....

Hmm....trying to work this out now. I know I went there after having to sit through The Park headliner. Now I think about it, the guy I was seeing at the time was not into DnB and we were well out of the legs so sound was a bit lame and he convinced me to leave. Can't remember it being Andy C, but I do remember absolute itching to get to Arcadia from The Park, so I guess I must have known or just been attracted to the dnb in general

Not this year... I have some willing DnBers and I'm all over it

Fatboy Eats Everything is going to be on at the same time as the headliners though, surely? If it is then I'll miss it, if it isn't then that field is going to be hard to get near.

I wonder if the area in which the sound system works is going to be increased. It was a circle with the speaker stacks facing inwards before, wasn't it?

whilst i am very much looking forward to checking out the new area, and will no doubt stumble into the field and enjoy whatever i find... there is no one on that poster for me.

If you like techno, house or drum and bass in any way, there's something on there for you!

It's pretty amazing.

i notice too that in the "top 5 must sees" lists i seemed to be the only one looking forward to Marti Pellow.

what the hell is going on...

to be fair my brother in law absolutely loves all this kind of stuff so i'm sure he'll know everyone and drag me along to a few - like he did with Foreign Beggars on Arcadia a couple of years back... never heard of 'em, really enjoyed it!

I've trawled through the lineup a fair bit, so can recommend a band or two what sort of music do you like?

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
