  1. Thanks for the info, very useful. Just to clarify, I didn't mean asking other's to look after our child. I meant if me and my missus want to take turns who stays out late with other friends and who stays in the campsite, will we have neighbours to chat to. That said, we'll probably just make the most of the opportunity to get some kip!
  2. Highly likely that I will be taking my one year old this year so probably going to camp in the family area. I have a few queries to anyone who's camped there in recent years: How quickly does it fill up? We have a fairly large 6 man tent, more than likely be arriving slightly later on the Wednesday. Are there any additional facilities? Showers / toilets /etc - or are kids expected to use long drops like anyone else. He'll still be in nappies thankfully but I imagine the long drops are actually quite dangerous for small humans. What is the overall vibe? We have plenty of friends going but we are the only ones with a child so hoping we might meet some others in the same boat and mums and dads can take turns on who gets to stay out late, and who stays at the campsite while little ones sleep.
  3. Bumping this thread as I'm on a tight budget this year so I'm hunting for bargains! Also, while I'm here, can anyone recommend any decent power banks? The bigger the better without breaking the bank. I'm taking my one year old this year so I'll have loads of additional little gadgets that might need charging. I bought about 6 different reasonably priced ones off amazon last time and almost all of them under performed. I even got one which was advertised as a 20,000 mAh but I later discovered was actually 10,000 mAh with some weights added to make it feel like higher capacity. And that was was thousands of reviews at 5* so clearly the reviews can't be trusted.
  4. My missus saw some documentary on TV about Cadbury's Creme Eggs. Some guys drives the country, sneaks into specific shops and plants the winning eggs amongst the normal ones in store. Not saying they do this but it's very likely they do choose which stores they send the winning bars to.
  5. Yes it's definitely becoming harder as more people are entering, especially as people have been receiving the crates they won. It doesn't matter whether you purchased the can or won it, the wins aren't linked to specific cans/codes, you just have to be the first person to enter a code after one of the winning "moments". I'd be interested to know if anyone here has identified any sort of patterns with days of the week or times of day that are winning moments?? I wouldn't expect them to share any details, but it seems some people have won a lot more times that others. I managed 1 case of cider a couple of weeks ago, but nothing else.
  6. Makes sense that they would be but also slightly unfair that those who have already won then get a 10x advantage of winning again from the same purchase!
  7. If this is the first then that lends itself roughly to there being a pair available per week from now until the end of the comp. I've personally done about 20 cans now and not won a thing so think I'll be taking a break. Too much cider! 🤮
  8. It's fairly easy to remove the ring pulls without opening the can. You can use some wire cutters or even just prise off gently with a knife. Opening the cans when you want to drink them becomes a bit of a challenge but there are plenty of ways of doing so.
  9. Do we think the response to the question "Why did you choose Brother's?" makes any difference to the chances of winning or what you can win? I've been honest and put to win Glastonbury tickets on all my codes so far but not had any luck. People with free cases, what answer did you give, out of interest? I also must have very unsteady hands as most of the ring pulls have dropped into my freshly opened can when trying to remove them. The latest one I very nearly gulped down, had to stop myself as it hit the back of my throat. That got me worrying... if I DID swallow one, would I have to go fishing when it came out the other end to get it back and check if it was a winner or just assume that code is void as I never actually used it??
  10. 3.4% ABV can you even call that cider? Just picked up a couple of the app-solutely pear-fect. Taste isn't great but at 7% I'd say that's more like it. No joy with the codes though. I'll see, maybe I can stomach a few more over the weekend!
  11. Has anyone worked out what the direct link is likely to be yet?
  12. I had 2 registrations to two different email addresses. I got this email to the email account associated with the registration that I did not confirm. The email address of the confirmed registration did not receive this email.
  13. I thought it was 4 for coach tickets too, and it drops to 2 in the resales?
  14. I had a notification on my phone from one of the Glastonbury fan groups on Facebook. I only noticed it as I hit the clear all notifications button but I'm pretty sure it said "Emily Eavis confirms no October sale this year...." I've had a flick through some of the groups and can't find the post. Can anyone else confirm they saw this? Or perhaps it was a troll post and now been deleted.
  15. Does anyone have any decent photos or videos from inside NYCDL, Meat Rack, etc? As far as I can remember, I haven't been in any of them (except Rum Shack very briefly about 8 years ago when it was quiet) simply because I can't be arsed to waste time queuing. I'm just wondering what exactly I'm missing out on, and if I get to go again, whether I'd make more of an effort to try experience them.

    Glastocam!

Just had a peek at the cam... It's crazy how fast it all comes down!
  17. I'll be honest so far the only Pyramid sets I've really enjoyed were Rick and Texas! I'd say I'm showing my age but I'm 32.
  18. Did anyone see the backstage / interview with Rick Astley? What a nice chap and thrilled to be there! He even admitted it probably meant way more to him than the crowd.
  19. AM have been dull for years. Saw them on their last tour and was actually bored for most of it. I actually thought their set yesterday was pretty good for them.
  20. Maybe they should just be banned beyond a certain point so they don't get too close to the stage. It does seem like most of the flag w*nkers are the same people who like to spend their entire day at the same stage and slowly work their way closer to the front. Which leads to a lot of flags in front of the stage, but surprisingly few further back in the crowd.
  21. The flags are awesome. Keep em.

    I feel sick

I'm definitely less bothered about it today, I guess yesterday it was the initial jealousy of everyone's excitement of getting there and getting set up. Also, like a few here have said, I didn't enjoy myself as much last year so I'm reminding myself of that. Although that probably had something to do with instead of going with my group of 20+ mates, I went with just my missus. It was her first time and she hated the camping, longdrops, carrying her gear from the coach, and amount of walking involved so was moaning a lot of time. Lessons learned!

    I feel sick

Gates are open. I am sat at my desk unable to focus on work, keep looking at the BBC live webcam seeing revellers carrying their stuff to the campsites knowing I won't be there this year. I actually feel kinda physically sick. To everyone lucky enough to be there, have an incredible time! To anyone else in my shoes - good luck, we'll get through this.
  24. Quality of music is absolutely fine but can barely hear the presenters, think they need to invest in some better mics.

    Glastocam!

What are the red frames for? I don't remember seeing them before but I usually only make it up to the stone circle when I'm already pretty worse for wear!
