When do you realistically think we can see the next lineup poster?

after the festival, it’s a blind reaction this year, you go but you don’t know who’s playing, how many stages there are, where you’re camping or which site you’re even at

I'd actually rate going to a festival without knowing the lineup as long as the organisers still put on a decent lineup

I'd rate that - turning up and having no idea who's playing - the headliner being a complete surprise

Festival Republic do you hear this. Give us this in 2022.

The main downside would be the twice daily dose of a ‘leaked line-up’ on here haha

And the fact that Post Malone would headline, and the Wombats would sub every day

Imagine they did that.... it's friday night everyone's waited patiently for a good act all day after having to watch Doja Cat for 6 hours. Here we are it's headliner time... everybody in love starts playing.. the crowd are in awe.. Aston, JB, Marvin & Oritse come out. It's JLS. Your friday headliner

I recorded foo’s at Reading 2019 on BBC the other day, watching it right now and getting goosebumps. I pray we can get on that field again this year

that set gets such a bad name on these forums and i have no clue why, i saw them do leeds 2019 and was blown away, not even a massive foo fighters fan and i thought 2.5 hours wasn’t enough

If MBV play R&L I will run through Leeds city centre naked

Foo's in 2012 was one of the best things I've ever seen. But their 2019 set was just a game of "how many 3 minute songs can we turn in to 10 minute songs". OH MY GOD look it's Rick Astley.

I watched the Foos set when it was on the TV last week and thought it was alright, but setlist wise they’re a band who’d really benefit from playing more older album tracks rather than just all the singles, or just cutting all the extended jams and gimmicky bullshit so they can fit more songs in. I’m usually all for greatest hits sets at festivals, but every time I see a Foos set it’s just the same songs every single time, with the same extended outros and with the same shit banter surrounding them. It’s almost wince inducing when Taylor hops down from the drums and does either Cold Day in the Sun or Under Pressure every. single. time.

    • I've come across a few this weekend saying Deftones aren't big enough for Download.   I would recommend b&b hotel hbf the night before....cheap, comfortable and very decent. Within 10 minutes from the station and a tram stop outside to jump on...all travel is free during the festival time as well with a kombi. Lidl is very good and cheap I can't lie....€6 for a chair with carey handle, €20 with a bag too...you can work that out yourself.   If you camp, get up at 5am and go to the queue....literally don't question it as now I know.     The travel wise part is easy when you get the hang of it and I've never had an easier exit from a festival today tbh. We were camped in the turn left section but past the registration and to get water you have to come right out.   Opening up an exit through he camp at least by Friday morning when everyobe is there would be much better but you csnt walk through general if you're green and sonon.   I think the issue for me probably too is I have never taken like a mutliple litre water too, I've always done a 6 pack water from like poundland lol but you definitely need it. I had one shower that was cold lol   Talking of getting into the front, Volbeat was the only easy one, for Maiden and especially Linkin Park if you weren't in the queue for it by at least the last quarter ot Architects you had no hope....it was shocking. I do like orbit to sit down. I had to decide to sack off Within Temptation too or no chance.   Second stage biggest gripe is the faff of walking all the way round when VIP or whatever it is literally get access to each bit. I did read tbh before going people though RIP/Ring was turning too much the wrong way.   Also as a side note, caught some of Limp Bizkit last night too and they are not headliner but any distance at all. Yes they pull a crowd...they would do with LP finished but on the grand scale its a super weak booking. Stop, start for video recordings all the way through a headline set?, 1hr 15 minutes and you can't play for that time. I'm so glad they were not chosen to headline main.   On another thing, if RIP played it right they'll get GC and Avril to sub/second stage headline on the Blink day.   Toilets and cleanliness is a big plus I will say that.
    • Any of the likes of Keo, Basht. and Cardinals could all fit in here.  Although they’re the sort of bands that could fit many of the stages at Glastonbury
    • Glasto loves a come back act - how about the Rapture?
    • Yeah mentioned in the park thread but feel more Woodsies to me
