Spotify Wrapped 2018

Recommended Posts

So how did you do?

Cypress Hill were my Top Artist apparently, with a whole one hour of listening time.  The Streets made it in with just one drunken evening playing through some of their tunes. I'm not sure how they work this stuff out tbh.

go to Spotifywrapped.com to get yours.

Don't get me started on this. Got the email earlier, was all excited. nearly ended in a divorce this afternoon when I found out that my wife had been using my account on our home Sonos and apparently my favourite artist is Ed fucknuts Sheeran.

I would definitely use the wife as my excuse too.

No Suprises in mine 👀

Get me listening to avant garde music with words like "My Boyfriend likes to talk.  My boyfriend talks too much"

I got 132% on that one.  But then I didn't have 37 hours of ABBA.

As much as I think George Ezra is not half bad... I take umbrage at my missus playing him that much on my spotify account that I now seem like a super fan....

The stats are also well screwed... I have a playslist with about 700 of my fave songs on... song one happens to be What you know (two door). So before the shuffle kicks in its always the first song ha.. I dont like that much.

If we are all blaming the other halves, then I blame The Greatest Showman soundtrack on her too. (Was probably the kids though).

Luckily I have a separate account set up for my daughter or my list would just be...

Hmmmm. I thought I'd listened to quite a variety this year but apparently I just had Dream Nails on repeat 😁MySpotifyWrapped2018.thumb.jpg.68057cf858ae1db9729d89d219efa8ae.jpg

I'm surprised by Parquet Courts. That's a lot of minutes considering I dont listen to Spotify on my phone and use an mp3 player.

Looks about right, though I'm not sure these are 100% accurate. I know for a fact (last.fm) that Beach House - Lemon Glow is my most listened song this year by some distance, yet it isn't here. It's first on the actual Top Songs playlist though.

Regardless, hoping all those bands are on the farm next year (even if the NIN dream is fading once again)

Also what's up with the playlist this year? Last year my top 5 songs on the above picture were the top 5 songs in my playlist. This year none of my top 5 are in my playlist, and neither is the rest of Daytona, which I listened to just as much as the songs from it in the picture above.

I wondered why my most played wasn't Abba then I realised it's because my playing of them is spread across Abba and the two Mamma Mia soundtracks. Amazed the Streep/Brosnan version of SOS isn't in my top 5 songs.

I don't get on with the Mamma Mia versions at all. It was those original recordings and performances, with the tight right harmonies that's almost as much of the songs as the compositions and arrangements. I've no time for the cabaret covers

Apparently 30 hours of Fleetwood Mac was enough to take the top slot for me.

Fleetwood Mac

Elliot Smith

Audiislave

Creedenxe Clearwater Revival

Fun Lovin Criminals

The National take top spot again. Unsurprisingly.

Surprised Arctics are there, only listened to Tranquilty Base a few times, or so I thought.

Thought I’d listened to IDLES, Jon Hopkins and Janelle more.
