Other Stage

I wanna see Chvrches headline Other (personal preference - they did a great job of subbing New Order in 2016. Not sure by June 2019 they would be put that high up though). I reckon The Streets is also a good shout. Then maybe either someone like The Vaccines or an older, more 'legendary' act. Or GAGA.

Chvrches last album seems to have tanked, so JP is probably the only stage they could headline. The Vaccines are also back to playing academies, hard to believe they made it to arenas on the second album. So think they're likely to appear halfway up the other stage again, similar to 2016.

@eFestivals Neil do you know if Chems are down as exclusive for APE? Would that rule them out of headlining the Other? Probably not too likely anyway given how recently they did it.

nothing is claimed as exclusive by APE.

As Nick (emily'#s hubby) is Chems manager, take it as a given that Glasto have first claim on them if they want them.

Cheers Neil! It'll be interesting to see the relationship the two festivals have this year since they're so close together and going for some similar types of acts.

Not any more recent than their usual 4-5 year gaps between playing.

I actually looked and Chemical brothers last appearances are:

2007

2011

2015

2019?

Exactly 4 years each time.

Combined with the management connection mentioned above I would make them my lock of the week to appear. Get Hot Chip on as well, both brilliant UK bands that bring the party every time.
