If I don't secure  tickets then I hope Chris Martin spends the whole festival in every slot on every stage, clearly possible with modern technology and the odd hologram or three.

If I do secure tickets then I don't care who's playing, I'll be f@cking there havin a f@ckin ball. :D

Being semi-realistic:

1. Fleetwood Mac

2. Arctic Monkeys

3. System Of A Down

4. Tenacious D

5. Daft Punk

6. Elton John

7. Weezer

8. Prophets of Rage

9. RUN DMC

10. Prodigy

To be fair there is a few bands I've missed off because of the 'dream' part. I've put a few bands on I've seen too because I know they'd put on a show!

Trying to keep to the criteria of:

  •  Haven't played the festival for a few years
  •  Realistic chance of them touring next year

I'd go for:

Arctic Monkeys
The Strokes
Vampire Weekend
Bon Iver
Beach House
Sylvan Esso
Kendrick Lamar
Car Seat Headrest (played in 2016 but only got a 30 minute set at 11am)
Shame
Childish Gambino

Do all the people who put fleetwood Mac on their list still want them to appear now they have just booted Lindsey Buckingham out of the band? Mike Campbell and Neil Finn are replacing him.

I haven't done a list, and I'm not sure FM would have been on it anyway, but LB leaving is definitely a game changer. I wouldn't pay big money to see this line up of FM play the likes of the O2, the way I did in 2015, but that's not to say I would avoid nor enjoy them at Glasto, but it wouldn't be a 'must see'.

    • What is too old for Leeds Fest now ?  I'm going to the Fontaines Saturday in a few weeks at 54 !!!  I may be the oldest there 🙂    Wythenshawe may be an option for WA.
    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
    • I would be all over Wolf Alice but may have outgrown this venue.    Also have to consider the schedule they have been on this year so may be on a break.  This last 10 days alone they did Tramlines, New York, Chicago and Kendal Calling.  Although make hay while the sun shines may come into play.
