Fair! Just assumed they had sold out because they added more and more dates to the original run.

I think tickets for RAH are usually a bit of a premium?  They certainly have been for the few things I've been to.

I don't imagine it's a cheap venue to use for a show

In fairness it's about the same number of tickets as their stadium tour two years ago. But yeah. 3 of the London shows look sold out, 3 others do not.

Tbf I thought there was a premium when Muse played a very expensive warm-up show there in 2018. Then they did Hammersmith Apollo in 2022 and that was slightly more, so... pfft.

 

St Vincent is pricier than her own Hammersmith show two years ago, but that could just also be partly the fact there's about a dozen different ticket price points available.

I'd not anticipate any Slayer at all at a Kerry King gig tbf - he's an awkward sod at the best of times 😄 his stuff doesnt sound bad at all, quite enjoyed the couple of songs i've heard, but not anywhere near enough to drop £50 on a ticket unless the venue was a hundred yards down the road from me

Probably my favourite working British band, but very surprised they've booked an arena tour. Strike me as an absolutely slam on Academy sized band, are they that much bigger than 18 months ago?

Had 3 nights at the Apollo last time round in London so should be able to do Ally Pally just based on that.

they're irish

 

also they did ally pally last time (like november 2022)

 

they have a pretty big R&L slot this year - any old act can do academies nowadays, they are a step above your circa waves etc

Some bloody terrible venues there, if it's gonna be arenas or a sh*t concrete echo box (Plymouth) then Dublin in December it is. If an arena gig is gonna go off, it's gonna be there.

These two were the future, then,  about a year ago, everything goes  quiet. Does anyone know what happened? Should  be on tour, playing West Holts or Park.

Interpol was £53 for their show at the same place there in November, while The National at the same venue last autumn was £58. Seems like the going rate there now.

its always been around £50 for a medium-larger act there

 

Some shows are definitely a bit cheaper still, acts who are pushing it a bit trying to do ally pally

oh see in my mind, Ally Pally is a £30-40 venue. aside from acts with prestige (thinking The Smile who can get away with a high 50s), it’s always felt like a sub-40 ticket. I’ve been 15-odd times there and for the majority they’ve been around £35

but at this point it’s simply impossible to ignore that every venue is just more expensive now. my gig calendar has drastically shrunk because I simply can’t afford it anymore. to me £50 for Fontaines is silly (love the band, the new single is a scorcher). I’ve seen the likes of Dua Lipa, Hot Chip and Everything Everything there - all around £30. Twenty One Pilots circa Blurryface was £30 - obvs 2016 is a different story. Vampire Weekend and LCD Soundsystem were £45 and £50 respectively. the latter two were exception to the rule pre-pandemic. but I guess it just means we have to expect most shows in larger venues to cost about 50% more. which in turn means I’m going to approx 50% less gigs

LCD you said were £50 - they are definitely in the larger act bracket imo

 

but yeah more expensive - i have hardly been to any gigs recently, its all so expensive - tickets aside the drinks just cost a fortune too!

GNR headlined last year despite allegations against Axl Rose being well-documented in the public domain, so Glasto hasn't exactly done a good job recently.
