I’m 6’5 and the same but when the missus is shorter and she wants to get into the crowd or you’re with a bunch of mates who want to get proper in its not always possible to be that mindful of everyone. Although it is their own fault for being so short!

Pretty close actually, multiple times in the past I’ve just had to lie down in the backseat of an Uber as my neck was gonna snap otherwise as the average car’s roof is too low for me.

Liz Phair has pulled out of her dates with Alanis Morissette later in the year. She only mentions ‘summer’ dates so not sure if that applies to the U.K. leg as well, but Cat Power is replacing her so not all bad if that’s the case!

A couple years ago The Killers did a tiny gig in King Tuts in Glasgow after their TRNSMT set. Felt so lucky to be one of the few hundred people there. Hopefully something like that

That would be the first gig at the fire station in Sunderland as that’s a new auditorium that has not had any events booked so far

Do the visa rles/fees between e.u and uk make it an issue though. Small bands cant make that sort of trip anymore. So unless its financially viavle, dont count on it so soon.

I don't know what the Visa fees actually are for Europeans in the UK are but I've seen lots of non-major record label US acts play venues of 200 (or less people) before and I would have thought those travel costs would be alot more too plus they can deduct the visa costs from their taxes anyway.

Yeah well, u.s taxes are a lot diff than others. And its just a diff environment right now. The same goes for uk or europe acts coming here because of the visa price jump. Unless they know its worth it, they wont travel. Thats why like Japanese Breakfast for example is embarking on a 4 month tour of the u.s cause its all thats possible for the moment and its pretty much sold out. Multiple nights in major cities plus festival slots are going to make up for lots of lost income.

You can claim a Visa as a tax business deduction in most countries rather than just the US though as it's a common standard, it's just a travel cost really.
