It's good to see Bristol being targeted for Stadium shows.

Take That, Rod Stewart and now Muse is great for the city (music taste aside!)

The Eagles have dates in June. However, it looks like they don't do consecutive dates any more so unlikely 

June - 23 Wembley, 26th Manchester, 28 Birmingham, 30 Liverpool

July - 2 Leeds, 4 Glasgow 6 Dublin

This will 100% sell out. My dad has paid £150 in the past for them. 

Bit of a shame with the dates as I'll either be at Glastonbury or living out of the country. Doesn't seem the parents can be temped to one of the European dates at this point

I think we paid one of the lower prices for the Leeds gig a few years ago, which had the side effect of us being right at the wall of the arena. My folks were less than impressed given that even the lower prices weren't cheap.

Great gig though. It felt like you got your money's worth and that's not always the case these days.

Say what you like about Take That but to sell out all those nights in a couple of minutes is impressive. Especially with the prices and its only 60% of the original line up.

Catfish and the Bottlemen have nearly sold out Wembley this morning. Tour is in Jan but they will be there somewhere

However, that does put Sheryl Crow in the country at Festival time and she may be more realistic after a well received set at IOW this year.

Yeah I'm going for 3rd down Pyramid for them I think. They've sold out Wembley bar about a seat, not sure on Belfast and Dublin but England wise it's all sold bar the odd seat. If they were on Other, they are easily subbing that but I don't see Other for a 3rd time running.

I could say many things about Take That and the cretin that is Gary Barlow but they have a fan base and not one that would be at Glastonbury IMO. Plus he's a massive Tory and has taken issue with Michael and the left wing side of the festival before so he can jog on.

Disagree on their fanbase not being at Glasto. The consensus on here is that Kylie would/will go down a storm and draw a huge crowd, could easily see the same for Take That. I doubt there are many fans on here, but I bet most would recognise the majority of their hits.

They'd get a massive crowd if they were to ever play the legends slot. Possibly even the biggest we've seen for that time.

word I've heard is that it's very unlikely to ever happen, as Gary Barlow doesn't want to do it.

Like i say they defo have a fanbase, just depends on whether they would be at Glasto or not when they would be more likely to go see them at their own tour??

Nah they've Freys son in singing. Sound pretty much the same. 

Henleys has lost a bit of range and power but he is 71. 

 Unlikely but a Saturday afternoon Jackson Brown type slot would work. 60 mins of hits.

Jeffrey Lebowski will not be attending obviously.

Doesn't matter if their fanbase is there or not. How many hardcore Dolly Parton or Lionel Ritchie fans were at their sets? Take That are a huge name and if they were to play (not saying they should) they'd draw a huge crowd of people who wouldn't pay to see them, especially if they played a non-headliner slot.

I saw them in Cardiff in 2006. It was very much a going through the motions gig. Take the money and run. The highlight for me was easily Joe Walsh doing Life’s Been Good.

Fair point, I think its difficult to look beyond the fact that i can't stand them and I hoped that they would have disappeared by now. Hopefully the fact that Barlow is such a greedy twat they will never play anyway

The Wembley date was on sale months ago, and has been rescheduled to fit in with this tour. So 95% of the tickets would have already been gone before this morning.

Pricing for Metallica tickets is pretty outrageous, £110 for standing after fees.

That surprises me, for someone who comes across as financially savvy (certainly when it comes to tax law) you'd think he'd see the benefit of a high profile set there.

it's probably not that financially savvy. Unlike most bands I reckon they've already rung every penny they're likely to get from music sales, and they'll be getting much more for their own shows than they would a show at Glasto.

But anyway, as I understand it, he simply feels its the wrong sort of place for them to be playing.
