Breakfast cider definitely, probably with added berocca and resolve to kick start the day

but you can't buy resolve any more..... such a sad thing - that stuff had magical restorative powers.

Sitting by the tent, either eating some breakfast or deciding if I can face it. Contemplating the day ahead while applying plenty of sun cream lotion!

 It's going to be... SCORCHIO!

I thought that might have been the case although looking for an alternative, best I could find was Anadin Extra Soluble with asprin, caffeine and paracetemol taken with Morrisons energise effervescent mixed in a can of cider.

Think we really need a dedicated morning rejuvenation thread unless one already exists.

After realising I have broken or lost every pair of glasses or sunglasses I have brought, I will be attempting to drink some diarolyte...

and now I will be having my first vom of the festival.

On the subject of morning remedies, last year I had some rehydration tablets which I dissolved and drank with a couple of milk thistle tablets before bed. Then next morning I downed a Berroca, multi-vit and another milk thistle. Even if it was just physchological it seemed to make me feel better, although drinking a lot of water before bed has obvious downsides when you wake up!

Extra strong alka seltzer does the trick for me one at night mixed with re-hydration sachet and one as soon as I wake up in the morning.

I also take milk thistle tablets but this needs to be done for a couple of weeks before the festival also.

    • I agree but anyone under Rodrigo would be a sub in reality, that day would sell out in under an hour whoever is subbing, in which case Wolf Alice would make a lot of sense   The more unrealistic part of the scenario at this point is Rodrigo headlining
    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
