So pretty much the same situation as Stormzy.  For what it's worth, I think it's great that Emily is giving him this opportunity.  I may not be the biggest Stormzy fan but he is an engaging performer and can see him putting on a damn good show.

I hope the festival weather is better than in 2007! That year nearly killed me

I also chose a Bjork over Arctics that year...although can’t remember much tbh ?

Bjork was excellent. The Arctics are MOR nonsense. Aldi rock.

Stormzy a very interesting booking. Will absolutely nail it or it'll be a complete disaster. Good fun up front Id suspect but down the back?

Excellent choice.  If I had been at '07, I feel I would have made the same decision.  The weather looked awful but the ground had recovered by sunday from what I've heard?

Surely as they are Northern,  MOR would stand for Morrisons Overcommericialised Rock?

Agreed about the crowd for Stormzy, I can see the atmosphere in the middle being electric but getting progressively more ambivalent as you go back.  I'm thinking that if he pulls off a load of guests, it'll spice things up a bit (like when disclosure headlined WH)

I think it got a bit better but our tents were a mess by then - I packed up and left straight after Chemicals on Sun night and drove back to get home in the early hours.

i didn’t go back until 2013!!

The traffic was that bad?

To be fair, '16 nearly broke me, so glad that I decided to give it another shot.  I couldn't leave Glastonbury on the terms I did in that year and '17 was pretty much perfect.

Reading? You know we can't read oop north

I've retired to the country now, so I only leave the village at the end of June (except in fallow years).

Anyhoo, is anyone genuinely excited at even the vaguest prospect of Noel / Liam at the farm? Really? Haven't they just stunk up the place every time they've played (in whatever form)?

Between the both of them you may just get half an Oasis set.

Does mean sitting through the rest of the Brothers Gallagher though

I really enjoyed the last NGHFB album and despite him playing every town and country fayre this summer I managed to miss him, so I'd quite to see the WBTM stuff live. I'm not actually that fussed about yet another rendition of Don't Look Back In Anger.

The WBTM stuff sounds MASSIVE live. Fort Knox opener is a full on assault.

I haven't listened to his latest album.  I remember seeing him at Latitude in '15 (i think) and being quite underwhelmed by it, I'm guessing WBTM is a bit good then?

I caught Noel at the arena a few months back after a cheapo popped up on Twickets. Some of his solo stuff is decent, agree that the stuff from the last album sounded good live. No particular desire to see him sing Little By Little, Don't Look Back in Anger and Wonderwall again mind. Also left before the inevitable Beatles encore.
