It turns out that the Spice Girls reforming is breaking news and according to the express, are odds on to headline Glastonbury.

Think I'll give that one a miss if it does happen

No chance can I imagine Spice Girls headlining. Legends slot maybe if Kylie wasn't there, and even then they may not be credible enough.

What's the likelihood of The Prodigy being there? Could they possibly headline the other stage?

They could definitely headline The Other Stage,  they've never really got close to having the same level of popularity that they enjoyed in the 90's but they could definitely pull in enough of a crowd for the Other Stage

. They don't appear to have any tours / live dates up past March at the moment so could be available for it.

I don't know, I can imagine them playing to a virtually empty field

I think you’re way off there, I’m not a fan and wouldn’t go watch them but I think they’d draw a pretty big crowd

In the legends slot, definitely.

Anything higher (on the Pyramid) I'm not as sure.

Who knows, maybe they'd pull it out of the bag and set the stage alight.  Maybe Girl Power needs to make a comeback. Maybe Michael Eavis has a secret crush on Geri and has been waiting all this time for them to reform.

Did I imagine it or did they try to reform a few years ago, play a few dates then quickly can it when they realised they didn't like each other?

I think they just did the Olympics closing ceremony and planned to do a few more dates but they couldn't agree on it, well i think Victoria couldn't agree on it and she still can't so they have f**ked her off to do it just the 4 of them. They have bills to pay!

odds on for the Avalon novelty spot :)

Speaking of which, did anyone go to Busted in 2017? I think it was an Avalon slot right?

Wasn't remotely interested myself but remember thinking it would be RAMMED due to novelty value.

Tbf it Busted managed to not be playing to an empty tent, than I'm sure they would get a sizeable audience, regardless of their credibility

Oh god....I'd end up going, wouldn't I!

Scenes on here when they’re the first G headliner announced today at 3

Show of hands, who on here would see them?

I'd consider going down for a look if there was nothing else on I fancied. If nothing else it would certainly be the biggest story of the weekend.

    • I’d expect U2 & Muse to be options too.
    • I see there's yet another article doing the rounds about Madonna doing BST, and not Glastonbury.   That could be right, but given there'll be plenty of tickets to shift for BST, could it not just be false info doing the rounds to protect that?? Not that I think Madonna would struggle to shift tickets, or that Glastonbury would have that much impact, but still - would probably still make sense to protect ticket sales when it's announced?
    • Given BST recently I wouldn't expect it as rock heavy as that. I kinda am expecting it'd be where The Cure play though as I'm expecting a second year touring of them
    • Id suggest they would need another new album before they play again - Otherwise the show is going to probably be very similar to the one they played at the last festival.
    • Absolutely not, I dont know of it selling out but they needed TFG and Skyvip to shift them. Biffy aren't either and they didn't go to TFG and I wouldn't say Kasabian are either and they sold it out the quickest. Liam Gallagher did Finsbury Park as well and subbed the Pyramid Stage, Noah Kahan did two nights at BST and subbed the Pyramid though that's a rare one. Finsbury itself will definitely not grant you top spot, that field can hold 100k      That's fair. I'm definitely in the camp myself that Fender and Harry are most likely.
