  1. out of out usual group only a contingent of 4 managed to get tickets this year (resale), so we've decided to treat ourselves by booking a nice cottage 20mins from site with a Jacuzzi, Sauna and BBQ pit.. waiting one of the group to sign off of work so we can head down early afternoon via the Glastonbury Tor to get a view of the magnificent festival and savour the moment before it all unfolds. Couldn't be more excited.
  2. That's it, on this last bit of optimism I'm out, and I'm not going to obsess over what is beyond my control a minute longer! see you in 30.
  3. It’s not even funny if you’re in on the joke to be honest.
  4. Do yourself a favour and go Pompoko for some Donburi, (cash only and only about £6 per bowl), go for the Tori Chilli Chicken Don. Thank me later.
  5. I have to say despite my photo being 6 years old I think i'm maturing like a fine wine. If anything they might question how good looking I am compared to the photo. 😉
  6. Arrive Stay, Early Late.
  7. Might be a ticket to an NYC Downlow queue jump? 😁
  8. Final deliveries arrived this morning, putting together some stunning festival ensembles. I'm trying to be a bit more subtle with my style choices this year...
  9. Hi All, this year my group have got a cottage booked the Tuesday night about 20mins from site, ive never walked up Glastonbury Tor and thought it would be a great opportunity to do so with the full festival in place and bask in the impending glory! As far as I can tell, I could just drive to Glastonbury town, park up and walk up the Tor. Are there any considerations past this assumption I need to take into account? Access issues? Parking issues etc?
  10. This year my group have booked a cottage 20mins from site so we will all be casually heading down Tuesday afternoon (can't wait!). I've had the idea of parking up in Glastonbury (town) on the tuesday late afternoon and heading up the Tor or a picnic for dinner.. can I just park up in Glastonbury in a paid car park and walk from there?
  11. Couldn’t think of worse footwear for the amount of walking you have to do at Glasto! No support or cushioning.
  12. It's June in the UK, it's literally pointless paying any attention until 5 days before I'd day, I just look for any strong consensus and be wary of that. Anyway i'll be back in 20 mins for an update! 😁
  13. How ridiculous of the manager, the ticket has to go to the performer surely? Be a good manager for good sake.
  14. Can you provide me with some details about the sauna? When do you book and how likely is it to get a slot etc?
  15. For god sake why am I checking this thread multiple times a day again? I was so sure I wouldn't get hooked this year! I still vividly remember annoying the fuck out of my colleagues sharing updates.. the azores finger! That said it's going to be a good year, i've been Glasto 2010, 2015, 2017 and 2019, all of them were good so I can't see why that will ever change now.
  16. I just happened to be in the field at the time and I was recoiling with cringe the entire time, truly dreadful!
  17. Folamour is a must I reckon, going to have to miss some of Macca to get in on the action?
  18. I had the worst car journey of my life leaving in 2019, I felt fresh and fine waking up monday morning, ate some breakfast and then everything changed.. the breakfast gave me food poisoning and I was stuck in the back of a car for 5 hours trying to get home whilst being sick to the point of suicide.. I could not escape that overwhelming need to vomit, and to add to that it have me the worst migraine ive ever suffered. Truly a harrowing experience i hope never to match.
  19. Imagine if Khruangbin came out during Maccas set to play Pretty Boys (quality track!)… or Macca at The Park for Khruangbins set.. I somehow think it’s less likely he would arrive at the farm a day early for that though! wouldn’t happen but a man can dream.
  20. I was happily tucking into my Goan Fish Curry in the shade of a flag during that, just returned vividly to memory reading your comment.

Funk and Soul is in the same boat as far as funky shapes goes so thanks for the suggestion. Craig Charles is our annual tradition.
