I was dreaming the other day the Foo's opened with Smells like teen spirit! Now I know there's no chance but that would be mental

Dave may be a shouty runny goon but I've always respected him massively for not ever covering Nirvana when a lot of acts in a similar situation would've jumped at it.

Never try cover Kurt lol, Dave might have a decent rock voice but he hasn't got a voice like Kurt.

Yeah i quite like These Days and Walk but as a run it's terrible, especially since I really don't like Queen! You'd imagine the likes of Monkey Wrench, This Is A Call and Arlandria are nailed on to come back in but as you say would be poor if the rest of that half hour is filled with more covers.

Yeah there ain't no way they finally headline Glastonbury and miss out Monkey Wrench. Ridiculous.

Finishing the set with a random rock cover featuring random local rock hero brought out for his third song of the night? This is ridiculous. Cancel it now. No one needs the Foos and fucking Francis Rossi slogging through When the Levee Breaks until the end of time.

Mike Monroe! I appreciate I'm probably in a minority of one on here but that would be fucking ace! One of THE great frontmen.

I've just seen IDLES are supporting Foo Fighters are their O2 Arena gig. If anyone is selling any standing tickets, I'd be very interested.

Fucking hell thats massive for them. Great on em.

But my dude, you know Idles have just announced their own London show that's won't be £80. :P

I was very tempted by that, but I just went to the O2 site and there were standing tickets available for Foos. They sold out instantly on ticket date so maybe a late release? Either way, bagged two standing tickets. This is going to be an incredible gig.

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
