I couldn't get anywhere near it.  I was right at the back near the food stalls and could hardy hear anything.  He also played loads of new stuff that was absolute shite.  I left during Don't Look Back In Anger, which turned out to be his last song anyway.

Oh, I'm glad so many people enjoyed it. I was surrounded by loads of people who were there for the Oasis singalongs, but would ignore and talk through the Liam songs.  I didn't enjoy it, I thought new single aside, his solo stuff was a bit average - though to be fair I am rubbish at judging songs at first listen - I often find I like them after a few repeats.   But the Oasis songs I found a bit sad, just made me want Oasis to reform, not have Liam do them karaoke.

They had massive problems with either a channel not working or a cross fader on the blink. It was horrendous if you weren't center of the stage or off to the right hand side towards glade. The other side only got the odd strum of a guitar coming through properly & the rest of the time a washy faded noise you couldn't really hear. Add people singing and you couldn't hear the stage at all

It was packed, only the Killers seemed busier.

I don't really understand the attraction. He is one of the great frontmen but listen to Rock 'n' Roll Star and compare it to him singing it in 1995. Night and day. Yes it's not going to be the same after 20+ years but to try and sing it identically and fail doesn't cut it for me.

I'm lucky (& old), I saw them first time round at the their way up at Granby Halls in Leicester then at Knebworth and in Manchester. They will reform but it won't be for me.

I could hear him banging out Rock N Roll Star from my tent in rivermead and thought it sounded ok but the rest of my crew were going to Katy Perry so I went with them. Sounds like he did fairly well though?

You didn't make a mistake, his voice was shite.....Katy Perry for what she does was far better

I can't lie - I like "Wall of Glass" & I know "for what its worth" is pretty shit, but there is something about it I like. Depending on Prices, I might try for the tour

43 quid for London.

I'm curious but seems a lot considering it's a Thursday night in December, at Ally Pally, likely to be full of twats and has a fairly high chance of being shit.

I think you might have answered your own question there - and done a pretty bang up job of it too.

It's basically a lose-lose-lose-lose-lose... lose situation (I think I got that right).

    • I agree the prices are tough for locals. You can see if Porto timetable is the type that works for you and it's a terrific city. Also cheaper. https://www.primaverasound.com/es/porto/lineup-porto
    • thanks XXialac! i guess for us the most important aspect will be a festival that starts very late in the day, specially in these southern countries were it can be really hot! The combination of visiting a new city, having good lunches and enjoying a festival is a absolute must for us. Also, we like headliners but the undercard is just as important; truly enjoyed Men I trust, NewDad, Big Thief this year so from that angle it is not really a big thing if a festival is somewhat smaller.    Apparently my bad, i had 5 in my system but 0.5 (10%) increase is still huge. I am not sure how teenagers can afford these prices............
    • That second part was how I felt about Rock IM Park this year trying first. I found that when it gets to like the 3rd act on the main stage down, you've gotta make a choice to miss anything leading up might not enjoy and it's sometimes while closer for not a great view as everyone in turn has to make the call too. Being short doesn't help as I'd just be able be further bacm but still see.
    • I wasn’t slagging Scooter off, they are undeniably silly. As I said, they are the definition of a meme booking for Download. People requested them for years because it was silly.
