I doubt there are many Courteeners fans on this forum but I bumped into Daniel Moores (Rhythm guitar) recently and he confirmed they're playing.

(Tumbleweed...?)

That's good news for me. Don't suppose you know which stage. I'm guessing Other Stage again.

Good news for me too. New album a LOT better than their previous one and were great in Brum in November. John Peel headliner would be my guess too.

yep - us and another couple of efesters will be there

Missed their Brighton gig before Christmas so I'm sorely tempted to head over to Tunbridge Wells in Feb.  But I just know they'll appear at Glastonbury anyway!

Not exactly a self confirm but they're up for it (I'm taking it as a self confirm) this was in reply to a pic of them by the glasto sign after their last set last year

I wouldn't. Lots of that bands that size hope to play Glastonbury multiple years in a row, there are only so many slots.

Oh cool, where did they confirm?

Seemed to miss that myself. Im sure i heard some new stuff that sounded pretty good. Must investigate again. Christmas happened in between so there's a lot of alcohol soakage to bypass.

Aye what's the Coral info? Had pinned my hopes on seeing them last year so it would be great it they're there this year.

I was suprised they weren't there last year, so any sort of confirmation for this year will be a bonus for me.

    • TVOD are playing Blue Basement in London 2/9 with a complete EOTR/Psych Fest shaped hole before their next gig in Lyon on 8/9. Well received in the Big Top last year, reckon they're nailed on for a secret set in the Tipi.
    • Didn't they widen the entrance last year to enable them to increase the number of pitches or have I imagined this? Perhaps they might return under a different form of glamping?
    • It should forever be the Tipi.   Just as the news about Geese was shared on Twitter.
    • It really surprised me that Rock AM Ring made Download feel like an extremely well organised festival with good communication in comparison. If we were to ever try either of them again we would go for IM Park and stop in Nuremberg.     Agree that the long thin mainstage isn't great, but where the mainstage is makes it really hard to navigate when it is busy because of that choke point created by the food vendors, bar/lounges with a view of main and where the crowd is coming form second stage. The concrete is hard on the joints. The front standing is a pisstake and the communication from the fest about what is happening on site other than which campsites are filling up leaves a lot to be desired. Car parks being a free for all doesn't help either.   I think it really suffers being so far from anything other than small towns/villages that lack proper public transport and Koblenz being the closest town which you can can use to get public transport to the fest being 60km away.
    • Yeah its absolutely on me that isn't think Shinia Twain was an awful choice- i get that.  Im still of the paul simon, ELO kind of thoughts but I realise things change. Im still intrigued what constitutes legend though. Robert plant played and he wasn't a legend slot- to me that would have fitted. Is it a ' comedy ' ' good time ' slot now? Comedy isn't the right word - guilty pleasure or something like that?
