2017 Ticket Sale

From a poll on FB i conducted last night my gf and i are the only ones out of 23 fairly regular Glasto goers that are trying to book tonight.  Will be interesting to see if it is quite the struggle it has been the last few years.

General consensus seems to be that they want to try a different festival, probably abroad or that they have just had enough and last year was shit.  Interesting result.

I've got the day off today and have made a "to-do" list.  I have casually added "buy Glastonbury tickets" to it.  I am now superstitiously thinking that if I manage to do everything else on the list by 6 o'clock, it will follow that I will get tickets.

Good luck fellow coach-ers. I don't really believe the number of people trying will really affect your chances of getting a ticket since demand will always outstrip supply quite handily, but it does feel as though interest is a bit lower this year in general, particularly for the coach sale. I know it's the same case every year, but it feels to have come around very quickly so hopefully some of the more casual goers will be caught unaware!

I feel more nervous this year then any other year. You know when I was having a bit of a moan about not being able to sit anywhere this year - I take it back, I'm happy to stand. Please, please, please let me get a ticket! You can rain on me for 5 days straight, I don't care!

Proper nervous now.

Posted this up thread but no reply so will try again. Does anyone know if a mixed group of international and UK people can buy together? I'm sure there's something about international buyers having to use a credit card and UK buyers having to use a debit card. Or does this only count for the lead buyer?

Best of luck to everyone trying tonight.

That's fine mate if you are in UK. If you're buying mixed from overseas I think you have to use credit card

Thanks! Unnecessarily worried that some small detail is going to ruin my chances tonight :)

Best of luck people. No need to be nervous at all. No need to worry about the fact that the headliners this year could pretty much be eFest's wet dream. No need to worry that this is the last Glasto until 2019....

(Okay sorry) :P

Have just found out that my work are having a 'rebrand launch party' this afternoon. I knew there was something going on but didnt realise the extent of the 'party' - if people dont piss off by half 5 someone is going to get a stressed out abusive response when they ask why I am working late.

UK buyers can use a credit card this year so suggest you use a credit card for all?

I think Scruff and Beerqueen are right, but I'm not 100% confident.  Website says:

"UK buyers may use either a UK registered debit card or UK registered credit card. International buyers must use a credit card (with a non-UK billing address)."

Now I'd assume from this that it's do with where the buyer submitting the transaction is located rather than the registration / ticket address; what do you guys think?  Would hate for you to get through and fall at the last hurdle!

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
