While watching, (well listening outside), to the first couple of Art Garfunkel songs up at Acoustic before going to see Chvrches and New Order, I saw a man sat on a bench with two other people. He had two hats on but didn't, I thought, look that much like Stuartbert so I refrained from saying anything. If it was you Stu, then hi...!

It was me from an alternate universe who didn't go to see Floating Points. I'm not sure if alternate me goes on eFests, but if so, "Hi" from him :)

Met the wonderful Mrs & Mrs Wooderson at Avalon, spotted Scottie's hat a couple of times, once in front of me at Hobo and another time across a crowded Spike where he was busting some moves* with Neil to Soul Stew.

*talking.

He had a hole in his straw hat which also made me think it was not you. Alternate you really needs to up his game...!

I saw someone with a tshirt on of @GETOFFAMYLAWN avatar, with a kind of blue bunnet on, wasn't sure if it was him though and wasn't going to ask

Was this on Sunday? I was wearing that t shirt with a blue bucket hat that day.

edit: sorry missed the post where we found out who it was

Who was the Scottish guy from here who I was sitting down talking to on Friday and bought a round of drinks? I was a bit drunk so can't remember the name but it was appreciated.

That was me Alan and no worries at all, was getting there myself.

Also think I met @DeanoL at the Darble lock-up putting his / camp solo's big green flat bed trolley in. Never made it round to see the rest of camp solo unfortunately.

Oh most definitely, and hopefully there won't be an 18 hour bus journey from Glasgow and il make the meet this year :P

I was also on that bus. Highlight was one of the drivers joining all of us in the pub although he didn't actually drink. Situation made it easier to get to know those around us.

I sadly didn't speak to any efesters, it was rather silly of me to think I would randomly bump some of you, did mention the forum to lots of people I spoke to but no luck, maybe next time.

I'm met an efester of the National Express coach from Lincoln, she was dishing out Cherry Bakewell flavoured alcohol and keeping lots of peoples spirits up even as we hit hour 12 of our coach journey

I didn't get a name and wasn't brave enough it out myself but it was great meeting you :)

The location sounds a bit off, but handing out Cherry Bakewell sounds a lot like @Curlygirl.

I think CG was in Gainsborough before Glastonbury. Or there's been an identity theft, and CG's drinks cupboard has been emptied.

yeah I thought Curlygirl was the best guess but I didn't think she was a yellowbelly, she did have a quality North East accent now I think about it so I believe we may have found our girl

Met up with lots of efesters on Thursday afternoon, but that was planned. Apart from that, bumped into @deebeedoobee and @pilton digger a few times over the weekend, @Curlygirl on the way to JP for John Grant, and @lucyginger and @Wellyboot (both shitfaced) at Earth Wind & Fire.

Amazing isn't it?! Massive place with loads of people and still manage to bump into folk. I really enjoyed chatting with you and Mrs G! And loved John Grant!

aye we had a bit of a chat and a bond over your drink, I was the one with the big colour peacock tattoo on my arm 2 seats in front of you :) amongst the group of us that just won't stop singing the same 2 lines of caravan of love repeatedly

i seriously considered introducing myself but it wasn't until the coach broke me emotionally that i had the courage and by that point it seemed a little redundant after all we'd been through

Didn't notice the tattoo I'm afraid, but I do remember you two lads. You were both very thirsty for the nectar haha!! Did I mention efests then? Or did the cherry bakewell give me up? Wish I'd known it was you haha!

Just seen seen your edit.. And now I have the ear worm back haha! To be fair, I had a moment when they played caravan of love on Sunday!

    • Going with Oxfam.  Just booked my ferry today.  Looking forward!
    • The Radio Dept.?! That's a surprise to me, they haven't toured in like 8 years. Hopefully they will announce some more shows.
    • I was assuming September in Stirling might have a different issue tbf in the form of it just pissing it down.
    • Yeah so many of mine seem to be just France v Spain in one semi and England/Brazil v Argentina in the other. But the fact those combos are the obvious ones mean it feels unlikely that'll happen because in World Cup history, you very rarely end up with what pre-tournament looks like the obvious final 4. We all see teams outperform and underperform. Which one is the fall guy is a different matter.   I've said elsewhere that for me, there's a hierarchy of Spain, France and Argentina as the 3 strongest looking, then England and Portugal, then Brazil and Germany, but that overall, they'd be the 7 likeliest to win. So I dunno, maybe this will be the time the Netherlands avenge the failure of total football in 1974 and achieve what they couldn't achieve through whatever the f**k Nigel de Jong was with his 2010 final karate moves.
