Rain AND mud together is the worst combination, it's just miserable.

But if it's really muddy, and the rain has stopped, it's still exhausting. Just the ability to sit down every now again makes all the difference.

I never get why people insist you can't sit down if it's muddy and rainy- just put on some waterproof trousers and sit on a bin bag- in fact the mud is quite comfortable to sit on.

Surprisingly it looks like warm humid air from the continent will arrive through Wednesday/Thursday. I think somebody mentioned the BBC have already hinted at this but it does bring the risk of thunderstorms, particularly overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

Some egghead on the Beeb has just confirmed this view.

He said it'll start to feel a lot more summery, but if the site catches a storm square amidships then conditions will go medieval.

When the totality unreliable weather apps say there is a 70% chance of a downpour tonight that means there is a chance the rain cloud could magically just stop chucking out the wet stuff as it passes over the site yeah?

Net weather's rain radar is looking ominous for today- it's slow animation makes it particularly creepy.

BBC are doing their usual trick of having two different forecasts on the same site. While their forecast says heavy rain today and tomorrow, their rain chart actually hints the worst of the rain may avoid the site and instead branch off to the north and south.

The Norwegian website goes with this scenario predicting only light rain.

At least we'll know who's more trustworthy after today...

The Norwegians updated at 8:30 this morning and they are still giving a pretty great forecast.

The site is gonna get hammered today and tomorrow morning. It's just a question of how much it's recovered in the last few days and just how much rain will actually fall in the next 24 hours. yr.no is showing a really great day on Tuesday so that should help matters regardless. It's gonna be muddy either way on Wednesday, just a case of how bad.

I'm remaining optimistic. Most of the forecasts are predicted solid weather for during the festival do that's great news.

So glad we've gone for Tangerine Fields this year.  At least that gives us the consolation of not having to pitch a tent or carry anything further than 100m from the car. Busy hope their fields aren't flooded.

TF tweeted me yesterday to say their fields are looking good with very little mud.

Earlier you get there the better it will be I guess......

I hate wellies. The only way I'll consider it is it the site is looking like shit at 4pm on Tuesday afternoon, then I'll head out and grab a pair before the shops shut. Other than that it's walking boots FTW.

I'll be making the same call on Tuesday, although I don't own any boots either ha

Docs will hold up to anything.  They were my weapon of choice for every festival before this one (they are now officially retired) and the only argument I've seen against them seems to be people squeamish about untying muddy laces.  It's only if you are going wading in shin deep liquid mud that you'd have anything to worry about and if you do that rather than walking around the worst mud you deserve all the misery you get, I reckon.

The worst bits of mud on site will be next to the taps where people stop to wash the mud off their boots under a running tap!

Don't get me started!

I will be loudly and drunkenly haranguing every one of these atrocities whenever I see this, just like ever.  If you don't want to get harassed by a scruffy old man you'll scrape them boots with your heel like everyone else.

Oh God, I'd forgotten about this.

I thought the worst people on earth were those who brushed their teeth at the sinks, causing massive queues at the sinks, when you can clearly brush your teeth by your tent.

But washing your boots at the sinks causing massive puddles also deserves a place in hell
