Tell me about it :-( The last 15 years have gone somewhere. All the stuff I didn't do then, I'm having to fit in now, and it's giving me a bad rep, lol. And my step-daughter is wanting to come when she's 18, in 2017. Flattered she wants to be in the same county as me!

I've had to cancel my trip to EOTR next week, cos i can't afford it, Now, If I'd know at the atart of the summer, would I have knocked the big G on the head and decided to go to EOTR instead. I dunno, I really dunno. I really hope I don'd have to make the decision next year. I've got a feeling Glastonbury might lose, though.

Why not just work one or both of them?

Free ticket, some organisations will even subsidise transport and/or feed you, can cut the cost right down.

Hubby and I have separated..... He wants to go to download instead (the idiot) but I'll be going to Glastonbury!!! That is Ticket Gods willing seeing as when he moved out he took the computer with him leaving me the iPad

You know, I've been contemplating it, but these things are much more about the social side of things. More than the music or whatever it's a chance for me to catch up with friends, family, people I love who I don't get to see for the rest of the year. I'm not sure that would work if I had to go and do shifts.

 

It's a great idea, volunteering and were I in a different position with my living arrangements, etc, I'd definitely do it. It's something I've done in the past and I'd have no hesitation doing it again

Just me and a couple of mates who are Glastonbury virgins. They live in the middle of no where with crap internet connection so it's down to me.....no pressure!!!!

Just made the ultimate decision not to go. Unfortunately its house and baby time in life so Glastonbury needs to go for a few years! (But when I'm back it will be WITHOUT baby just to head off those ' it'll be a different but still great experience' - it will be the time off!!)

There are plenty of kid friendly festivals around, Glastonbury is huge and loud. I have no intention of taking a 2 or 3 year old there. I know lots of people do and enjoy it, but I'm not going to. Just seems like a bit of a compromise to me. When she's older, then maybe, but not yet.

To be honest we've already had that conversation and considering we met there we think we can get away with keeping it adult only until they are old enough to come with friends and go off on their own mainly. You've got to have a bit of your own space, and while some might leave them with the grandparents so they can go for a long weekend all inclusive in Spain, I think Glastonbury is mikes better!

Also, not trying til after September or October to avoid a Glastonbury week birth and therefore never being able to go again is part of the plan! Sounds stupid but you'd never get away with it if your child's birthday was that week

Just an occasional lurk, followed by an irrestible need to be, albeit briefly, part of this wonderful place!

 

I shall withdraw quietly again, with the dear hope of being a contiual nuisance should the TGs smile on me in a few weeks time. The idea that 'my' T Day (coach) may be one month from tomorrow is both exhilirating and terrifying!

 

Glad you're all good to go for 2016, tickets willing...

If I do get lucky with tickets, I think I'm going back to camping and doing the festival 'my way' - I think I want to feel part of it all again, and not feel obliged to go 'back home' when everyone else does - as they declare that 'its time to go back'

 

Basically I want to do my own thing but still meet up and have fun with everyone

 

But I have a feeling that the decision will be out of my hands as T gods will not be looking after me :-(

Then I come back from a week away and pretty soon after is glasto (ticket permitting).
