Q: Is it too early to be making 2016 wish lists?

A: It's never too early to be making 2016 wish lists.

First, a ticket.

There's the obvious, big names for Pyramid, Other etc.- Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Bjork, T Swizzle.

Then I'd take as many of these as could be had:

Bon Iver

Kendrick Lamar

Sleater-Kinney

Rhye

Mount Kimbie

Grimes

The War on Drugs

Kurt Vile

Tame Impala

Bellowhead (Will the farewell tour have ended by then? They need to go out on a Glastonbury high.)

Nils Frahm

The National

Laura Marling

The Pogues

Antony & the Johnsons

Frank Ocean

Grace Jones

Nas

Beach House

Best Coast

Summer Camp

Deptford Goth

Purity Ring

Ghostpoet

Los Campesinos!

Joanna Gruesome

Andrew Jackson Jihad

Goblin

Susanne Sundfor

Mbongwana Star

Chance the Rapper

Nightmares on Wax

Karenn

Then if I keep asking for these two as Park headliners, eventually it will happen:

GY!BE

Joanna Newsom

Then the triumphant returners from 2015:

Young Fathers

Future Islands

Sharon van Etten

Kate Tempest

Courtney Barnett

Alvvays

I didn't bother including people like Tom Waits, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada. It ain't happening.

Dear Glastonbury Santa,

Please can I have next year:

Kraftwerk, Friday, West Holts.

Some dirty, heavy techno.

Some surprises.

A triumphant return of the ability to stay awake past 3am.

And last, but certainly not least, a ticket.

Thank you kindly,

Untz

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
