Just wanna say that the Moonlandingz EP is fantastic.

they're playing live next month aren't they? Don't think I can make the London date though

I can't really get into the associated ERC album. The first one (1612 Overture) is far and away their best

Yeah, Lexington I think. Great little venue.

I haven't really had the chance to listen to ERC yet cause I heard of Moonlandingz through Fat Whites. But that song they put up on Soundcloud, Welcome To Valhalla Dale, is really good IMO. Will have to give their albums a try some day.

Hoping that next year will be first of many Glasto's so tickets for me and some mates would be a good start. Band wise I'd be dreaming for:

Radiohead

Daft Punk

Biffy Clyro

Foals

James Blake

Lindermann

Eagles of Death Metal

The Weeknd

Youth Lagoon

a TICKET obvs.

I think Laura Marling should be given a headline slot now. She fits the Park stage perfectly, I'd love to see here headline the Avalon as well but don't see it happening.

It must be the year of Radiohead, IF I get a ticket it will be my 7th straight and as of yet no Radiohead, apart from the park set that I did go to, but I want a Pyramid headline slot.

I'd love to see EWF or George Benson on the West Holts, and I'd love the festival to change tack a bit and one of the bookers try to get Melody Gardot ( listen to her new album , it's great) , but I'd doubt she'd even entertain the thought!

Diana Ross as the golden Oldie?

Other than that :P I don't care :)

I've been going since 97 and managed to miss them every time!

Having done some research, he played in 81 after Roy Harper and starting setting up his drums during Harpers set. And then there was a big brawl between Harper and Ginger (Ginger said "Fuck off, you've been on here too fucking long you c**t" ) and Ginger got bottled and stoned. As in stones thrown at him by the crowd.

Its a massive long shot but to see Rise Against at Glastonbury would be a highlight. At a push i think they may headline Joh Peel or Other stage. IMO they would put on a cracker of a show and pull a decent crowd.

They'd be low down on any stage they played, or they'd headline Leftfield. I can't see it happening though, if Leftfield are going to be booking any punk bands to headline, my votes are for Refused or Against Me!

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
