Maybe they wanted to get a head start, a covid outbreak could put them back 10 days instantly.

That’s my thinking too. After two cancellations, they’ll be leaving absolutely nothing to chance. Their planning has to factor in a possible Covid outbreak and the only way around that, short of having additional staff which is probably outside of their call, is to start earlier.

Is this the link we are all using? I had one to a “panodata” site saved, but it seems to send me to this place now. Is there a higher definition version that I should now be using as an advanced Glastocam forum user?

I use this one now.  Works great on full screen and automatically pans around from one side to the other.

That’s a great shout. Thanks, added that to favourites. Good to see the urinals, the distinctive blue wall,at the back of the other field, getting their priorities right yet again ! Now folk just need to learn to aim into the trough rather than piss on the floor

Or the one year they put the Mandela Bar up... and then. tore it down again and then piut it up again... confused the hell out of me 🙂

I remember the year I was first aware of the Mandela Bar (2008, I think), when a tent went up and we didn't know what it was - and the joy when it turned out it was a bar!

I think they're rigging for the screens.  I'm with everyone else in expecting a visual upgrade this year.

They're parts from a generic truss system, at any rate. Definitely not part of a crane.

The smaller sections on the grass could definitely be the screen structures. The sections behind them on the road look to be a bigger profile and longer.

I always miss out on their updates because (being the fickle get I am) I unfollowed them when they outed themselves as tories.

Yeah fair point …. I couldn’t do the same as they were judging the stages comp a few years back ,,, worth a reconsider though now you’ve reminded me

@squirrelarmy it’s pyramid stuff

The small stuff delivered by Serious Stages is still there.

Those large sections that I thought were part of the crane are no longer there.

The mystery continues.

I think the poster with a big spider on kind of solved the mystery, but ok! 😀

The Spider coming back is a known fact. That’s not being disputed.

The mystery is what is happening with the crane.

There are rumours of an outlandish plan which apparently is too crazy even for this forum.

Glastonbury Festivals own a crane. If they’re unable to erect it I’m certain they will repurpose it for some other use. No idea what though which is one of the reasons we’re watching the cam!

    • Ok, ok, I have done it! Not because of limitless upvoats but to support the Efestivals site.
    • She was/is 100% in the mix, but I don't know specific timings and how it relates to that interview. They've clearly gone after her, again.   It could be read in a number of ways - she was in negotiations at that point, she was talking about BST (and he's interpreted it, as we have, as Glastonbury). Who knows
    • So sad to see the news that John Douglas of the Trashcan Sinatras has died. They only released their latest album last week and it is wonderful.  So underrated and a member of such a great long running band that have meant so much to me over the last 40 years. https://trashcansinatras.com/blogs/news/john-douglas-1963-2026
    • listening to jamie east's podcast earlier he said that he'd heard fender is confirmed, and that as of 2 weeks ago Madonna hadn't been approached.
    • which would make that Graham Norton interview nonsense .... although obviously things change
