  1. πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹ I've booked 😁 Was kind of planning a year off festivalling but I accidentally bought tickets for this & Camper Calling, both local. Got to say I'm loving the smaller festivals, have seen majority of this years lineup at different places over the years but live music, in a field, weekend in my campervan, what's not to likeπŸ˜‰
  2. I know but can't risk the info not matching up! Good luck everyone, I've bowed out, catch you all later, after June!
  3. Wasn't planning on trying this year, bought a house recently so was going to skip this year.. Just realised I haven't changed addresses on our registrations so effectively can't even try now 😫😫
  4. As if we couldn't love her enough; check out her Twitter timeline from last night, she made sure all the food from the Mercury's was donated to charity rather than wasted - as a chef I know how hard this is to achieve, so many companies unwilling to help with excess food going to those that need it!
  5. The track was prob quite poignant, something about Kevin & a bird, in a tree or something - but his voice sounded like a pair of football socks filled with concrete going round in a tumble dryer, it was specifically his voice that I did not like.
  6. Nick Cave is durdge (I may or may not have made that word up) Never knowing heard his stuff, 6Music played one this AM and I considered driving off the A46 just to make it stop - slight hyperbole there I do not endorse any form of self harm.
  7. Fair - I've only seen them with a plethora of drummers so can't compare πŸ˜‰
  8. Fun fact; I'd seen both incarnations more tha a handful of times before I realised they were in fact the same people πŸ˜†
  9. Arghhh had thought I probably wouldn't try for tickets for next year but Pulp I would not want to miss if they played Glastonbury!
  10. She did a short pop-up set at the Barclaycard stage - I say stage but it was basically an advert for Barclaycard with a raised section for their hype up dancers! - at Latitude which I totally missed because; terrible signal, notification came in an hour after it had happened. Bit gutted I missed it after the comments re: intimate gigs. Loving that she's popping up at lots of festivals this year.
  11. I'm so sorry you've been having such a shit time, caught a few of your posts recently & really hope you're getting through with some help❀ There is such catharsis with music that connects. I know someone commented about I Do This All The Time, the Wear Sunscreen homage & not connecting with it but there are a few lines in that track that get me every fucking time, and to see it live, wow. Such power in her words.
  12. You need to see a Soulwax set - So.Many.Drummers!
  13. They played over an hour set at Latitude so must've been tracks from 1st album inc - I'd had a few espresso martini so couldn't tell you what was played. I agree with you about the Mercury meaning so much to her, she just comes across as genuine, her music feels so honest, that's prob why the live show affected me so much. She's got a Northern sense of humour for sure! She wore the Boots advantage card dress at Latitude, partner (Northerner) was impressed at the thrifty aspect of reusing advantage cards πŸ˜…
  14. Amazing photo! She is So on fire right nowπŸ”₯πŸ”₯ And your tshirt & vinyl are part of her history, without those sales she may have packed it all in & we would be without such a strong voice - both vocal opinions & singer songwriter voice.
