In that weird bracket of too small to headline but probably too big to sub, although I think they’d make a great Other headliner if they were willing to accept it.

I'd say if you're too big to sub at Glasto, you're easily a headliner, given some of the subs that we've seen.

I mean theres shade and 2 tents have AC in them. Tomorrow is going to be worse. The lack of wind is the issue.

Just such a change from earlier in the week when it was actually cold (even for me!) I'm not at Coachella though, just working in LA.

Agreed, they'd smash it out the park

Don't know if anyone posted this article yet, but it sounds worse than I imagined. Brand hotels, influencer parties where they talk openly about it being more about a big influencer conference than a festival, it's been dubbed the "influencer Olympics" (altho I haven't personally heard this moniker before).

Sounds really, really, so, just so amazing.

I'll bash coachella and windup suprefan as much as the next man but you do realise this is 1% of attendees. The vast majority of people aren't like this

The brand involvement is massive at Coachella though, most people at the festival will be exposed to beauty, tech, clothing brands all weekend. And that does sound roundly shit to me. Which is the whole point of this thread whether it bashes/winds anyone up or not?

1% of all attendees, seems a bit low, don't know where you're getting that number from? And you have to think about it in a more open way. 1% of attendees are 1,250 influencers at the festival, but how many people are following those infuencers over the weekend also attend? Bet that number is WAY higher.

Still, my point is that something like Coachella which is so focused on brands and influencers and selling products, it's hardly a lovely sounding place, is it?

And for what it's worth, I've said in previous posts that I think the line-up looks pretty good, comparable to Glasto across the board, but for me the brand/influencer angle makes it a big turn off.

Maybe not 1% but theres still a lot of normal people there.

Plenty of festivals are covered in corporate stuff, glastonbury is the exception more than anything as far as major fests go

My point i guess is sure the stuff in that bbc news article is stupid but nobody normal at the festival sees it - its not even within the festival, note how nobody on here even knew about it till now.

Just looked and that Kardashian mansion is 2 hours walk away from the site for example

    • The Great Fete Festival (Sunday Only) Ocean Colour Scene day on Tickets For Good.
    • I was also at Ghost but seated. When they scanned my ticket's and they came up as seated they printed a small ticket with the seat number info.
    • I was standing for Ghost at O2 London last year where they put the phone in a pouch beforehand so I assume they're is a mechanism in place for people in seats.
    • Most likely not, keeping an eye on Tixel and Twickets might be the best option.
