Good to see ben folds active, would love to see him at glasto. 6th down on the other in 2008, maybe high up on park?

I saw Courtney Barnett last year in the Park, she was tremendous, I hope she plays a sunny middle of the day Other slot myself. Also really looking forward to seeing Alabama Shakes as I missed them last time around and as it seems they are everywhere at the moment it almost seems they are a definite for June

Seeing as we were all loving American fest lineups the week before last, this one's meant to be Firefly's latest offering. The proximity of dates doesn't usually rule out as many as you'd think but I'd be a little sceptical of Morrissey as we know how America is the world to him.

She was incredible in the sun on The Park. Flew by! Would love her to be back on there. Maybe high up in acoustic? Maybe very early on Other?

i agree with the few on here on her Park show. it was just phenomenal...perfect place for her to play. I'd gone up there to see her after the brilliant double that was War on Drugs and Rodrigo y Gabriela on the Pyramid, and she was amazing...right up on the barrier i was too, smallish intimate crowd, but just great.

didn't want to make a new thread so considering this has turned in to the American festival thread i'll just stick this here: Pitchfork Fest lineup announced (July 17-19)

http://pitchfork.com/news/58466-wilco-sleater-kinney-chance-the-rapper-headline-pitchfork-music-festival-2015/

would take... almost all of that! don't think i've seen Wilco on a lineup yet so that's exciting. long overdue another appearance

Dunno what's going on with that Firefly lineup dental posted, but they cancelled their original announcement and still haven't released anything. Kinda strange.

pretty sure that was fake, considering Kings of Leon only have 2 gigs in South America in March planned this year, and The Killers have none for the year, and both would be headlining multiple festivals if they were touring.

added to that, of a few acts that i checked, it stands out on their tour schedule, eg. Modest Mouse finish US dates in late May, then are in Europe in late June, a one-off festival in between, the week before Europe doesn't seem likely.

i'm sure with a bit more digging there's probably acts on that poster that are elsewhere that weekend.

about the only similarity to Glatonbury is that there's bands and stages there.

V is more like Glastonbury than Coachella is.

at least at V you can bring a drink to a stage and don't have to drink it in designated bar areas...

This would be pants and no.1 reason I wouldn't go, no.2 & 3 would be the poser yanks/celebs and the heat (I would just die in that heat)

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
