Heh. Come to think about it I remember seeing George Ezra favourite somebody's tweet saying "I hope you're playing Glasto" or something last year.

Confirmed then.

I looked waaaay back in my favourites the other day and it turns out people actually got quite a few bands to 'self-confirm' by asking them to reply gravy if they were playing R&L.

The amount of quality catches on there is quite impressive AC/DC are the main one there, huge coup.

Jack White (seeing him in the desert would absolutely blow my mind)

Royal Blood

Kasabian are others who'd be great.

However considering how little proper festivals there are in USA and how it's independent of the festival season there could be a strong inflow of bands.

I think it's very clear that AC/DC did take a lot of the lineup budget out, they must have cost a lot.

Has a few, but Coachella usually ropes in a couple of very mainstream acts

surprised at the lack of Sam Smith, Frank Ocean, ASAP Rocky.. etc

From this... Sylvan Esso would be great on West Holts/Park. Jon Hopkins again would be lovely. FlyLo needs to happen. Mac DeMarco, Panda Bear and John Talabot.

Incredible, wasn't it? Made everyone else that night look terrible in comparison!

Blew me away. Managed an hour of Dixon before calling it a day.

Didn't notice Panda Bear on the Coachella line up, would be a good addition (think there's a Boiler Room special on PB this weekend if I recall).

very few surprises for the non-headliners, a lot of bands that would be expected, and an awful lot of DJs.

tbh, i think as far as Coachella lineups go, that's one of the weakest i've seen.

on the plus side, surprised to see Ryan Adams on the list, he very very rarely does festivals. would love to see him at Glastonbury.

The Weeknd would be great to see, his first Coachella appearance was great.

i spy The Cribs down there on the last line for Sunday too, perhaps they'll be hitting the UK festivals too.

Got an album coming so yeah I'd have thought so.

They have an announcement tomorrow although that'll probably be (proper) tour dates rather than anything festival related.

ah right, thought they were still in the studio, didn't realise they were that close to getting out and promoting it.

Yeah they said they were working on two, but that was this time last year.

Dunno if that's still the plan, or if they've worked it down to one, but the intimate tour in Feb is for new material so they've definitely got something coming at least.

Won't be a dry eye or a top oan if they play. Nobody's Empire is one of the best things they've ever done.

I think it's a bit better than most of their recent stuff but still not much more than 'alright'. Remind me a bit of the older stuff, but without the magic. Nice video as always though.

If I could pick the perfect setlist then I can't think of many, if any, bands I'd rather see. A Century Of Fakers, Winter Wooksie, The State I Am In, Expectations, If You're Feeling Sinister etc.

I hope so too. He's a bit of a changed man as of recently. He did another festival earlier on this year and the last gig I went to was nothing short of sublime.

Headlining in the park vs someone shit on the Pyramid. Yes please.

don't The Cribs have two albums coming out this year? seem to remember something like that

Moved from Wichita to a major label so they could do a double album, apparently. 5 punk points will be deducted from the house of Jarman.

Do they get them back for devoting one of the albums solely to punk?

When it comes out, I will judge exactly how punk it is, and award or deduct punk points as I see fit.

I genuinely think it's brilliant - moving and personal in a way that a lot of (even their best) songs aren't. It's like a better version of The Stars Of Track & Field.

I actually think the last time I saw them (3 gigs on the trot in the Glasgow Barras at Xmas about 6 years ago) they played all of those - except for Winter Wooskie, what with Stuart David having left them last century.
