This isn't a problem for me and the missus as slways liked them but not enough to shell out cash for one of there own gigs, can imagine the disapointment of people who have seen em before though tbh

I am not bothered about the headliners really if it is the 3 that are being bandied about. I would rather watch Taylor Swift than Foos or Coldplay. McGee had it right about Coldplay, "bedwetters music".

I am more interested in the talk of Hot Chip and the Chemical Bros.

If the rumours page on here about V is remotely true then that will be a pretty strong lineup.

Yeah, I'm not going to watch coldplay so it doesn't bother me but the current way it's going i'm not going to be seeing any pyramid headliners, and would like to catch one really just for the sake of it. If chems get put up against coldplay i'll be very happy.

Despite all these comments, wouldn't bet against Coldplay getting the biggest crowd of the weekend by a distance - another example of the efests community not representing Glasto as a whole ;)

You're right, but let's not forget the majority of people like shit music.

Would be interesting if Swift/Florence played below them, or maybe if they all played on the same day. Sort of 'shovel the shit in a big pile' kind of attitude.

It's quite remarkable Glasto has bagged two absolutely huge stadium selling bands in one weekend.

Hang on. Foos aren't confirmed yet. This could be instead of Foos or something until we know the whole picture.

I don't think she'd headline the same year as Coldplay, and I don't think she'd sub anyone - I see her as as unlikely to do one as to do the other. Would stick a tenner on her not playing at all now tbh.

But why wouldn't she?

I'm genuinely arsed. My favourite festival regurgitating the same old shit is annoying.

Better be clashing with Nas playing Illmatic at West Holts or TFC headlining the acoustic.

Same arguments erupt every year, it will have almost no impact on your festival at all will it? Just makes me laugh the amount of hyperbole that spills forth at times like this

Wow. The only way this would be vaguely justifiable is if this is going to be Coldplay's last ever gig.

Otherwise, this decision looks truly baffling and completely goes against everything Michael and Emily have said about liking to take risks etc. It's not like they are desperate for sales, so there is nothing to stop them giving somebody smaller a chance.

What can Coldplay possibly do on stage in 2015 that they didn't do in 2002, 2005 and 2011? The performance will just be indistinguishable surely?

I think they're shite and would be nowhere near the mainstage if they play BUT they have released 2 albums since last playing

    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
