Apparantly elsewhere in that interview he also jumps aboard the "not voting next Thursday" brigade. Like there weren't enough reasons to dislike him already.. :banghead:

Another throwback. Was anyone there in 1994 and saw Johnny Cash? sorry its off topic, i like to hear about previous Glasto gigs. Watched it on youtube and the crowd were fantastic, he looked really pleased!

i was there, or in the vicinity. i didn't know who he was though, except that this commercial was on tv at the time so i recognised one song.

Another denial! I like the denials. Eventually all the suspects might deny and then it will either be a complete surprise act or one of the deniers lied. Which if they are embargoed until June they would have to do if asked. As maybe would people working for the festival. On that theory then I think it's going to be P*****! It's not going to be though is it. In which case, if he lied the other day because he had to, I do think it might be Blur. I'd quite like it to be them. I think them or Fleetwood Mac would be rather lovely.

Anyone know why the chilli's haven't been mentioned too much? I saw them at IOW last year and was probably one of the best gigs iv seen.

Apparently the band and Michael eavis don't see eye to eye after rhcp pulled out of headlining in 93. Allegedly they even offered to play for free one year! Alas, they Are between releasing albums and are not touring currently so it looks pretty unlikely. However, I am of the opinion that if they were to headline they would fucking smash it and play a helluva headline set, whether that's now or ten years ago when they were "relevant", still a massive band imo. Just gutted ill never get to see em with frusciante on guitar.

I was there. I was only 20, my second glasto, and had no real ideal of Cash's legendary status, nor of his renaissance at the time. However, went out of curiosity and watched from a little way back, sat down in the sun. I remember there being a lot of songs about murder, and it being a good set, but not much more than that. Only years later did I appreciate that I had seen a genuine legend, and I'm glad I did.
