Gone all in and signed up - I'm on my way! Thanks for the advise and best of luck to those still trying, still plenty of time left.

Tears would be involved... As I'm sure is the case for many on here, not going is not an option for me. For some reason I'm fairly confident I would be able to bag an Oxfam place before the festival even if unsuccessful in the resale. Massive gamble though so veering towards just accepting the place as its the only one that's actually real at the moment. Having been a few times (14 with 1 x oxfam stewarding) thinking it would be interesting to do bar work inside the fence for the different perspective. Also travelling light and coaching it could be a new challenge. Would miss my cool box in the car though. Someone said they sell cheapish booze at the avalon camp which would help. Would then just take a bit of boxed cider and spirits.

Just been offered an Avalon spot from the waitlist, desperate for a way in but its a really tough decision with the resale looming (post deposit deadline) and the travel restrictions compared to Oxfam (loved having the car next to the Oxfield when I stewarded with them). Glad I've got a few days to think about it. Even considering being prepared to lose the deposit if successful in the resale, probably need to have a word with myself!
  4. Received a delivery of a couple of prize crates today. Can confirm that they are competition cans!
  5. May the sound of a 1000 guts rotting fill the land. Good luck everyone, no pain no gain.
  6. Also got 3 spare free for bugged out, pm me if wanted.
  7. Interested in this as well for another year, particularly self camping if you already have a good bell tent. Love fields Vs WV SL?
  8. Yes it's wrong! I should really of been trimming our laurel hedge this weekend as it needs to be done. Fear of pre Glastonbury weekend power tool / back injuries has made me reconsider.
  9. There's a twitter account @GlastoMilk although they have been quiet so far this year. Last year they posted milk locations.
  10. Unpopular opinion; Brother Bar cider is rubbish. In my early Glastonbury days going to west holts for that first pint of pear cider was something to look forward too. Now I can barely stomach it. Much prefer the cider bus cider or/and taking my own "bag in a box" farmhouse cider. Not sure if I've just got more of a refined taste now or its just not up too much. Shame as I used to really enjoy it. Confession over.
  11. Bagels is a good shout ta. Onion ones to complement morning breath.
  12. Any recommendations for baps/bread product for bacon sarnies that will last the festival? Longer life stuff doesn't tend to taste as good as fresh but fresh doesn't last. Ideally individually (Or 2x) wrapped baps would be the best.
  13. The 00z run might just be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
  14. I found disposables incredibly convenient for festivals and holidays, anywhere I didn't want to take my usual cloud buster to really. Was going to do the same for Glastonbury but this has made me think about it and I've just bought a smaller kit for MTL. Might still shove a disposable in my pocket for battery management failures though. Well done Glastonbury for highlighting the issue, we all know they are bad.
  15. Looks decent. Worth also having a look on eBay for British army Bergen. Pre-owned but massive and very strong. Sworn by mine for festivals for years now.
  16. Pricey but highly desirable! We manage to achieve cold cans of lager until Monday with 2 x Coleman Xtremes, a large one in the car and a smaller one for the tent. Couple of beer runs and sorted.
  17. There were shops selling the milk rather than the trucks going round the campsites which was a shame. I didn't actually see any of the shops but the @Glastomilk twitter provided a location map.
  18. Ha, I wish, Jetboil is pricey but very good, although my old trangia never let me down either.
  19. Berocca + SIS Hydation tab + Water Painkillers (if neccessary) 1 x Tea (Jetboil) 2 x Coffee (Jetboil/Handpresso/Illy pods) Bacon Sandwich (Jetboil skillet) Followed by 1st Kronenburg/Cider
  20. Might explain the noise?
  21. Oh God you're right. And what if it's wet, there's nothing for that either.
