I've a hunch that we'll hear something from Prince in the next 2-3 weeks. It's been nearly 2 months since he announced he was extending the Hit and Run Tour and he's played May dates every year for the last 4 years. Sadly I think he'll announce US dates.

Sadly it's too late to flicker hope back into life but Prince has resurfaced to announce a US gig this weekend- http://www.spin.com/2015/05/prince-rally-4-peace-baltimore-concert/

Other stage opener..... the dream stays alive!

A couple of hundred tickets from those that are cancelled before the deadline? Doable surely?

They'll have a max capacity in the licence and won't be able to go over it, otherwise they'd have sold a couple of hundred more tickets to all those failed to get them.

Have you get any idea at all about what day/slot Suede are likely to get?

People were saying Friday originally, though now the talk is mostly Saturday Other. I'd of preferred JP later on, they're one of those bands I can't imagine seeing in daylight.

Mat Osman has tweeted saying he thinks they're playing in a tent.

Excellent ta, that'd be better for me anyway. I just hope they stay Saturday and don't get too clashy with The Foo Fighters.

Hoping for Saturday myself now if its true that SFA are in the Park on Friday. That would just leave me with a Chemical Brothers/Who decision to make on the day depending how I feel.

so how wrong do we think this is??

It says "print status: 5 - don't even think about it" for a reason... it's all guesswork this far out. There'll be a clashfinder thread and a frenzy of activity and "OH MY GOD THE CLASHES!" threads when it's getting good to go, you cannot miss it

I don't think the clashes on the clash finder are that bad, some quite nicely placed bands. However i still am bracing myself for some absolute nightmares.

Lets face it, it's Glasto, the clashes are always gunna be quite bad.

If there were no clashes then it would be a strong and competitive line-up, would it?

it's a fact of life that at any given time you are missing absolutely everything that is happening everywhere in the universe other than that to which you are witness.

at Glastonbury this completely normal state of affairs becomes a Really Big Deal!

I Missed number 1...... hahahaha id like to of seen that! and i also missed seeing what Neil Looked like! :(

Number 1 was hilarious! He totally denied that he knew how to photoshop to fake a betting slip and then some genius here proved the image of the slip was made on photoshop by him. Totally caught with his trousers down!

I thought Neil looked like an all round good bloke. I think he posted up the photo (of him and Chris Frantz) sometime in April...! Will be a mare to find but he's there...!

    • mmm... i note there are several derogatory comments about this... not sure what it says about me, but i could spend a happy afternoon here...   Simple Minds, Deacon Blue and Texas are all great live bands.   hell, i'd even be drawn away from the bar to see James Blunt (if only for a bit of a nostalgia trip for his show on the Pyramid that i admit i hugely enjoyed).   still, with all that said - there's no way i'm going to the other end of the country for it...   🙂

    • Have a great festival to those that are going, I cant wait to get there tomorrow!
    • ah i get ya.. Yeah I hate festivals that have that barrier and front section. Roskilde is gonna be the same, which I'm not looking forward to navigating. Like you say, you end up missing other stuff having to get there dead early. Luckily there's not much we're arsed about on at Roskilde though so that wont be such an issue! hahaha
    • Not directly my expectation but my wishlist   - car seat headrest (it has been way too long these guys did Europe) - death cab for cutie - new constellations - interpol - bush - swimschool - suede - the haunted youth (should have been there this year) - flipturn   and oh yes Yumi Zouma can come any week, day, hour but this is a personal fetish with this band
