Surely all it would take to convert all the returned GA tickets to coach+admission tickets would be to lay on extra coaches?

Yeah that just went through my head  Spose its not a huge number, but a bit of an operation if they want to put on an extra 10k people in coaches

I prefer coach anyway - though NE over See coaches.

I'm speculating, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're increasing the number of coachers year-on-year, with the aim of getting an increase in the number of tickets they can sell once the traffic issues are less problematic because of the numbers coming by coach.

Not a bad bit of speculating, would definitely be in GFL's interests on both an environmental and logistical level.

Didn't emily or Michael say they wanted more people to take the coach? Would be a way of supposedly 'enforcing' it

Quite.

Regardless of whether it was actually the case, if they could make it look like the only tickets that have been returned were coach tickets, that'd be a hell of a middle-finger-salute to those who predicted that Kanye's booking wokld bring about the festival's demise, given the perception that there aren't many coach tickets...

I wonder if the Eavis' would be on board if we pitched them an experimental art project in which every single post in this thread is printed onto an individual piece of large confetti, and then it's all fired out of cannons situated on the Pyramid as the third headliner makes his/her/their way onto the stage.

Edit: if you've picked up the piece of confetti with this post on, congratulations! You've won Glastonbury. Please report to V Festival 2016 for your reward.

"Please welcome, Florence and the Machine!!"

...and tens of thousands of bits of confetti are simultaneously fired out of a cannon, and they all say 'OH FOR FUCKS SAKE', 'FUCKING FLORENCE?!' etc. etc.

Then come back after the festival and show which ones you've picked up!

Just heard from a friend of a friend whos friend once lived in Glastonbury (even tho thats irrelevant) that their friend says the 3rd headliner is a hologram of Michael Jackson. Not only that but 2 Pacs hologram is going to join him too.

Beyond hilarious.

Can you imagine everyone leaping up to try and grab a piece?

"What did you get?"

"Russy saying the festival isn't as good as it used to be! You?"

"Matt42 stretching the definition of the word 'officially' past breaking point!"

Mine was just a simple sentence saying Keynesian economics doesn't work

Imagine the bewildered look on the poor fella, who after scrambling for a piece of confetti, looks down to see this:

The fact that people get angry about a black man performing a hip hop song with a big group of other black artists just proves that a lot of people still don't see black artists as real artists

And if you say "it's becuase their music is shit" then you don't see hip hop or rap as real music.

#teamswift might be having a good day coming up. Get the champers on ice.

I like the sound of this, Festival Liam. I'm willing to put aside all cynicism and believe that Michael Eavis has personally promised you a Sunday night on the Pyramid where Taylor headlines and Patti Smith subs.

I forget who's legitimately 'in the loop' around here. Is this comment worth paying any attention to?

(Please say yes).

I'd just shake it off if I were you

I'll get me coat

    • exactly. give them mordor slot when I have other alternatives, not Wednesday
    • Absolutely love her record, System. Definitely an album that rewards a bit of commitment.   She's right on my must-see list. Hoping she's in the Walled Garden, as I think her sound might be a bit muddy if she's early-ish in Far Out.   Ben
    • Same here, I kept trying to go on A View From My Seat to see if each block was worth it. So vague!
    • Ok, I’ve had time to process the experience now, so here is my review.   The good Barcelona - what a beautiful place! What lovely people! The city was like another headliner. Stayed in El Poblenou, and the bars, cafes and restaurants were perfect. Avalanches - Absolutely spectacular, euphoric set. Fantastic stage. Possibly enhanced by substances that I timed right, for a change. Added bonus that I don’t really remember the queue. The Cure - I’ve been a fan for 34 years, and never got round to seeing them, so this was a dream come true. The XX - The sound was exceptional. The lights and setlist perfect, giving each member their moment. Was really loud where I was standing (between the front and the sound desk), but i didn’t notice any chatters - even during the quieter moments. Also loved Men I Trust, .bd. , Big Thief, NewDad and Gorillaz. The food within Parc Del Fòrum was also a lot better than I was expecting.   The bad People talking non-stop throughout some of the sets, and shouting to be heard over the music. I had to move 3 times during Wet Leg just to be able to hear the band over the crowd. It’s probably an age thing, but I just don’t understand it. You’ve paid how much to watch these acts, and now you’re standing with your back to the stage, missing the music and ruining the experience for everyone else? Odd behaviour.   The weather apocalypse on Thursday. I genuinely thought I would be able to tough it out. I couldn’t. Left after Geese. The lack of communication from Primavera didn’t help.   Whilst it was lovely to be by the sea, and the sunsets were very pretty, the site is a bit…concrete-y, isn’t it? I kind of longed for some grass and trees. Often found ourselves standing on the steps by the Adidas yard by some bamboo. This was probably a subconscious need for some nature. The fact that some of the nature included cockroaches did not negatively affect the experience.   My daughter, for running away when she saw the drug dogs in the queue on Thursday, meaning that I lost her for the whole evening. She hid her stash under a bench, and it miraculously survived the storms.   Also, can someone explain the point in having a wristband, when you still have to show your ticket every time you enter and leave the site?   Finally, I would like to nominate myself as one of the bad things about this year’s Primabera. I should have done Primavera a lot better. It was my first one, so I’m still learning, but I think I left too early on the Thursday. Left after the Cure on Friday, so I would be full of energy on Saturday, and then barely made it to the end of Gorillaz anyway, meaning I missed Overmono, Skrillex, Skullcrusher, Kneecap, and a few more I would have liked to see.   All in all Amazing lineup. Decent food options. Cupra and Cupra Pulse stages were very impressive. Weather was perfect for 3 out of the 4 days i attended.   It was always likely to be a ‘one and done’ for me, but we had a blast, even if I am starting to get too old for all this.
