I'd of loved royal blood missed them last year, do u think their "exclusivity" with reading won't get broken? (Only thinking because of metallicas with soni last year)

They're playing festivals in Europe every day anyway so even ignoring the exclusivity they can't play.

Can't believe they still havnt annouced anything....fuck the third headliner fuck giving us a full lineup just.....anything, a few stages, Shang ri la, whatever.....I just can't believe its past ticket balance deadline now and we're still apparently not allowed to see what we've paid for,.....starting to verge on the 'getting pissed off' now I have to say, or though maybe thats frustration.

I worry about your blood pressure, man.

i think you need to go and talk to someone about your obvious anger issues. you sound like some sort of whack-job who loiters around outside the eavis household.

Michael has been harping on about wanting people to come for the experience rather than the line-up for a while now hasn't he? Maybe this is his way of trying to weed out the people who stand at the Pyramid all day looking like they're waiting for a bus. :D

Royal Blood aren't half as good as they're made out to be. If you're looking at a good British two piece, Drenge are far better.

I love both Drenge and Royal Blood, but Royal Blood just tip the scales for me. But that's just my opinion.

I can't see them subbing the Pyramid on the one album though, considering they already played last year.

Anyway in terms of two piece bands in that vein, DFA 1979 hold the crown.

SO this.

Royal Blood play into my theory that when a new trend in music comes along (in this case a real love for the drums plus guitar/bass two-piece), it's usually the least deserving example that get the biggest break/success, and the better bands that don't.

Drenge p*ss all over Royal Blood who are, frankly, a bit dull and have negligible tunes. New Drenge record is a corker

As much as I want the line up I am one for tradition. I also like the idea of selling out the festival before the acts are known. More emphasis on the fact it's not just about the acts. Obviously they'd need to continue to get acts to bring back the folk year on year though.

    • this sounds like a very good bet that they'll be on the lineup, but personally I have so say I'm a bit tired of bringing Interpol and The National every few years
    • Same poster as the one off 2019 show at Hackney Empire, maybe I can get a new t shirt as my descent into rotundity has rendered my current one useless
    • One thing I would say as well, it actually looks like RIP got some better sets than RAR though, for LP for me it definitely was despite RAR getting With You
