I'm not really sure. My brother lives in Norwich and messaged me last night asking if I wanted to go. I'm probably hoping for Muse or Foos or someone other kind of ooze. If it's some shite like Mumford I'll give my ticket away and see The Cribs in Norwich that night instead.

Ah my brother got Sunday tickets first but was already giving his spare to a friend, then he got through again for Saturday. If I'd gotten Sunday tickets and then Muse/Foos were announced for Sat I'd have been pissed off. Although the Facebook is apparently full of people trying to swap their Sat tickets for Sun.

I was probably like that when I was a kid. In fact I know I was. I definitely agree that your tastes get broader as you get older. There's stuff I listen to now that I'd never have contemplated 10-15 years ago.

I'm really hoping for O(+>, he was stunning in Birmingham last year, but.... If he does headline, I'm sure he would not want the BBC broadcasting his set, you know what he's like. Dylan in '98 had a similar caveat, to the point they turned off the jumbotron for his set. Given the BBC's deal with Glasto, could this cause issues with booking the skinny MF with a high voice?

Any deals with the BBC are arranged separately, so it doesn't affect who the festival books.

It's happened a few times - The Stones set wasn't broadcast in full, not sure if Jay-Z's was either, U2 had a bit of a whinge over it, remember getting home from Reading one year really excited to rewatch RATM's set to find it hadn't been televised.

Personally I think it should be part of the contract that the set is shown in full on the BBC.

I'll be honest, the only two headliners I want to see at The Stone Roses and Prince.

I've seen them both on a few occasions.

Prince twice on his Hit and Run tout last year

The Stone Roses, four times since their Resurrection.

I want to see the Roses again more than anything. Purely because a headline spot will most likely mean a new album.

Prince at the Manchester Academy last year is hands down the best gig I've been too. And that's a bold statement. Prince would nail the Sunday slot, and go down a storm. 3 and a half hours, 45 tunes, 6 encores.

If it's anyone else, then I'll be at the Other Stage/John Peel/West Holts/Park

Almost certainly, the way his finances were when he died he would have played in my garden if I offered him a fiver. Whether it would have been any good is another question, my wife had tickets for his run at the O2 but I wasn't interested.

There's nothing sadder than watching a legend who is clearly no longer up to it. James Brown's set in 04 was one of the saddest gigs I've ever seen.

they're already playing 2 nights in London on the Friday and Saturday so aren't going to do a 3rd night in a row if their other tour dates are anything to go by.
