Starting to get excited about this years festival now and hoping my favourite band in the world will make an appearance.  Looks like their European dates end on June 18th so got to be a possibility....hopefully 🤞

It did occur to me that they could step in a Other headliner if QOTSA do indeed bail.

Plus with Aerosmith pulling out there could be some shuffling around to do. 

However, if they do play, and I see off as much of a box of red wine as I can without keeling over, and they don't even play all the wine, a-fucking-gain, I'll be livid.

I think it'll be next year, gives them time to road test some of these songs on the upcoming tour. A bit like the 2015 era which led into Sleep Well Beast.

Yeah it's not bad for WHP events but it still lacks a certain atmosphere since the room is so huge, the sound for bands isn't great either

They’ve talked about one being in the works but were pretty uninformative over when it was actually coming, but I hope that just means it’s coming sooner than we think. Seeing them at Primavera in June so sometime before that would be nice as I don’t fancy a set full of new shit I haven’t heard yet.

Doesn't sound like its imminent. My guess would be a few new songs road tested this summer with an album either later this year or early next.

The Castlefield Bowl gig was strangely flat, a shame as it can be a great venue when it's pumping.

The Arcade Fire gig there a couple of years before was an all timer.

That Castlefield gig was one of the worst crowds I’ve ever been in. Just people moaning everywhere.
