Lineup 2015

Recommended Posts

They were effing awesome at Glasto, was sceptical about the new line up, the new guitarist isn't as good but the rest of the line up were on point.

They were epic at Reading a couple of years ago, manic 1/3 into the NME tent.

I was right at the barrier too, loads of smallish mosh pits but Glasto is a lot more laid back.

Jeez I remember their set at Reading two years ago, ribs were broken

Not sure if people know but Frank T has said in an interview apparently, Refused, when asked who he's looking forward to the most at R&L? But said e can't see them as he's clashing so does FR cover most of Lockup that day? Mates a massive fan of Frank so.

Frank Turner has said in an interview that he wants to see refused but he can't as he's playing at the same time as them. Therefore it appears that the running times for those stages are the same on that day, unlike the metallica day.

My friend likes Frank but I want to see refused so I hope this isn't the case.

I would be so happy if the pit finished early so I could see Refused and The Libertines. Got nothing to see while Kendrick Lamar is playing at the minute. Probably more likely they'll both clash with The Libertines though to split the crowds and so Frank doesn't have a ridiculously overflowing FR tent

Haha yes this indeed. I was shattered when I typed it to be fair and thought you'll get the idea lol.

Considering Drown, Happy Song and this new one they're definitely going a little bit softer/mainstream, even more so than Sempiternal. I don't think they're 'selling out', I just think it's natural progression, each album has had it from them.

Can't say I'm a fan of the new BMTH song. I love Happy Song, think it's an absolute belter, but Throne is just too different for me at the moment. Sounds a lot like Linkin Park/30 Seconds To Mars. I think it'll sound decent enough live though.

Their tour over here is supposedly going to be 2016 btw, so my guess would be January.

Unless something has changed (which is quite possible) then they're playing German shows in November so it's likely they'll be playing British shows around then as well.

What makes you say they're playing German shows in November?

Unless mau5trap's 'special guests' are big that's a fair bit smaller than Zane Lowe and DJ Fresh last year, probably a reflection of ticket sales.

I'd say you're overthinking that a little bit.

Some leaked dates from a German booking agency site a few months back before we knew they were coming back so soon or anything.

    • Interview on 6 music earlier, was going to get the album to have a listen, but comes out the day they play the festival
    • Additional dates added already
    • I feel like it's not COMPLETELY beyond the realm of possibility that they could headline but I just don't see it.    They're not doing anything other than headlining. So nah, I don't see it.
    • Consider that the sound quality can be better near the front bars right behind the soundbooth rather than closer to the stage, like with mbv. And of course, the front sections are full of talkers too.   The most courteous move would be to have conversations in the very back of the field.
    • I mean...I do think it all needs more regulation, but god knows how when it's all so global...but there's so much stuff on there that is messing with our little minds. But also, he has given these companies till September, and well...he'll surely be gone by then. I think social media ban for under 16s will likely happen, but I think regulating it for everyone is better. It's the not the kids we should be worried about, it's all those middle aged doom scrolling keyboard warriors like me.
