Ooh I was definitely around then; what was your username? :D

Haha it was fine, I just noticed you posting a few times about us in the Glasto section, and then posting in here quite often. It was as if your odd posts reminded you of this section and you then came back, posting relatively often.

Also fuck the Casa bien shit.

Also fuck the Bloc Party shit, I still want them.

Looking at the Casa bien thing it seems kind of obvious now doesn't it? I also remember Neil talking about how he'd been tending to his garden and I thought Soundgarden were going to play :(

Nah not at all unless you're a genius.

The clue was something like "You'll go round the houses and end up in China".

Can't remember how it translated to Kasabian but part of it translated to Casa and another part to Bien. Not obvious at all.

Yes...?

The clue wasn't Casa Bien.

The clue was fucking weird.

If we'd ever got to "Casa Bien" it would have been easy, but no one did.

Oh right.

I assumed you got to Casa Bien cos you were all referring to it as the Casa Bien clue. I wasn't here at the time. I'm sorry. Love you

Slaves and ASIWYFA have both announced they have recorded albums so it be really nice to see them announced for next year

Slaves are about as nailed on for next year as you can get - doing NME Awards tour, on Sound Of list, etc. Presumably NME stage. Which is good news cos they're friggin awesome.

ASIWYFA were incredible last year, fingers crossed they return to the Pit. I've got it in my head now that they'll play Refused day and will be disappointed if that doesn't happen.

First Highfield Festival (Germany, mid Aug) announcement includes Interpol, The Wombats, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, The Menzingers and Danko Jones, and loads of German bands obviously including the headliner so no more headline clues there. Interpol heading up NME would be pretty cool.

    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
