It's got way too many acts from this year in odd places. Alt-J, Peace and TDCC are too low and Manchester Orchestra, Cage the Elephant and most of Saturday seems too high.

How come people are predicting Wilkinson as high as NME sub/third/both? He's probably gonna just do Dance Stage again.

Peace are playing venues similar to Palma Violets and they headlined FR last year, I think Alt J could be higher but I kinda just used them as filler, I think Saturday is fairly accurate with placing, BMTH just blew up Wembley and are gonna be much bigger from their Radio 1 backing, Wilkinson got rave reviews from last year and were high up on the announcement which is why I have them subbing on the 2nd stage although I could see them dropping to third like Metronomy last year and in criticism to the "too many acts from last year" literally half of 2014s line up played 2013 aswell

PTV are a similar size to SWS and therefore i have them in the same position SWS played last year.

The Gaslight Anthem have headlined festivals here before so i think theyre worthy of third on the bill. Sleeps have been third on download are getting lots of coverage from radio one so i expect them to be bigger by next year and Neck Deep are a similar size to Blood Red Shoes who were in that spot last year.

Nah there hasn't been as much recycled as there is on your lineup. Even if there was literally half, there is more than half there. The main stage is just the rock stage and some middle card NME acts with a couple more added higher up.

Peace are doing a tour of small venues that sold out initial dates pretty instantly around the album launch and you'd imagine they'd do a bigger tour later on and headline NME or something. I can't see Wilkinson being bumped up to high NME on the basis that he was good. BMTH jumping up to sub from 5th because they played Wembley Arena would be kinda pathetic too considering their album isn't meant to be out until late next year. I could see them doing 3rd with a new album when it is out. Don't know what festivals Gaslight Anthem headlined either.

I think BMTH have done enough to warrant being second considering Jake Bugg got there last year, but yeah they could be third and I see your argument about Peace, Gaslight can definitely be third, they've done third at Download before and I think they'd be a good fit there, and yeah I'm just guessing on Wilkinson cause they announced Metronomy last year in a similar slot and he is gaining in popularity but I see your arguments

BMTH will not sub, YM@6 headlined Wembely last year and I don't know when or if BMTH sold out Wembely and they played 3rd and Alt-J and Two Door Cinema Club have both played sold out shows at the O2 which has a far bigger capacity. Gaslight Anthem is plausible 3rd but ADTR played the smae venues last year and they played 4th so place them in the same slot as ADTR seems more likely

Also loads of bands are too high, Neck Deep (who are also playing twice), While She Sleeps, Lower Than Atlantis and Funeral For A Friend to name a few. Also Papa Roach headlining The Pit is also terrible for me :P

Seems all you have to do to warrant being sub is not be Jake Bugg nowadays. Basing R+L lineups on Download lineups is always gonna trip you up. I could see BMTH headlining Download before too long but selling one average sized arena show announced at the start of the year as the only headline show of the year isn't as impressive as people are making it out to be - not by R+L standards anyway.

Fuck, put neck deep on twice oh well I do think they're gonna be either 2nd or 3rd on main stage (or perhaps that's wishful thinking;)), I get the argument for BMTH being second not third but I feel they'll have accomplished enough to put them at subheadliner by that point. Funeral For A Friend have headlined Lock Up before now.

I would hate Mumford and Sons to headline. Would love Linkin Park, even though I doubt they will. I'm pretty sure Foals will sub this year, and can see Smashing Pumpkins headlining.

I'm pretty sure Peace and Catfish and the Bottlemen will play R&L with the release of new albums.

Was gonna ask if anyone went to that. Not bad for free. Was the show any good?

was very good didn't realize how good his voice was because a lot of people said it wasn't very good anymore but he has still got it. and he seemed to enjoy himself considering it was for free.

at the end he also said "I'll see you next year"

Good stuff. Glad to hear he will be back in the UK in some form next year. Was starting to think The Strokes would just be popping to Primavera and back.

'Tribes' sounds better than 'Miguel from Tribes' though doesn't it? There have been Libertines DJ sets for a few years - Pendulum and Faithless too.

    • A few from last year.
    • Feels a bit too big/expensive and no new headliner which I think they will do with Deftones. Would be shocked if they didn’t book them. Korn, Yungblud &/or Slipknot for Ozzfest I’m thinking.
