Amy Lawn
I've just been to my last gig of the year yesterday, which was Us Vs Them curated and headlined by Los Campesinos!, so the time is right for me to rank the gigs I've been to this year (they actually didn't play My Year In Lists, it would've been more fitting if they had). 1. Paul Simon @ Manchester Apollo 2. LCD Soundsystem @ Glastonbury 3. Bjork @ Hammersmith Apollo 4. Joanna Newsom @ Liverpool Philharmonic Hall 5. Neil Young @ Leeds Arena 6. Kamasi Washington & The Next Step @ Manchester Academy (also Glastonbury and Green Man) 7. The National @ Latitude 8. Motion City Soundtrack @ Manchester Ritz 9. Father John Misty @ Manchester Albert Hall (also Latitude) 10. Massive Attack + Young Fathers @ Hyde Park (also Manchester Apollo) Also big love for Floating Points, Emmy The Great, Patti Smith, Grimes, Haiku Salut, Dakhabraka, Laura Marling, Sigur Ros, The Cure, The Twilight Sad, 65daysofstatic, DJ Shadow, Caribou, Explosions In The Sky, Anna Meredith, Dinosaur Jr, Mitski and obv the almighty Los Camp!. It's been a really great year for gigs for me, I am now skint. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE LIVE SHOWS OF THE YEAR? (no holograms, no VR headsets like that girl with the cold on that advert, no Radiohead). dentalplan
Damn. I don't go to anywhere near as many gigs as you metropolitan M.F.'s. LCD Soundsystem on the Other Stage is king. Top 'gig' gig would have to be Titus & Ronicus.

MilkyJoe
Glastonbury aside, personal circumstances have meant very little live music for me this year but I did get to see I Am Kloot's John Bramwell playing a solo gig in my hometown that was pretty special. Hopefully get to a few more gigs next year.
Hutchmaster
Oh Lord this is very tricky.. 1.) LCD Soundsystem, Glastonbury 2.) Frank Turner, Liverpool Guild of Students 3.) James Blake, Glastonbury 4.) James Blake, Manchester Academy 5.) Foals, M.E.N 6.) Hinds, Glastonbury 7.) Wolf Alice, Arts Club, Liverpool 8.) Lisa Hannigan, Arts Club, Liverpool 9.) Daughter, Liverpool o2 Academy 10.) The Lumineers, Glastonbury Cheated a bit and put James Blake up twice, they were just two very, very good shows! Glastonbury very narrowly edges it due to Bon Iver appearance.
Chawk
Neil Young- Glasgow....the way he crept on from side of stage and opened with ATGR. Still lots of Neil songs I'd love to see live, but probably never will...Thrasher...Cortez etc. Kamasi Washington- Green Man. Great atmosphere, and was my first Gandhi's Flip Flop @ GM I haven't admitted it in the Radiothread yet, but I didn't actually enjoy the Roundhouse that much Edited December 4, 2016 by Chawk
