Whaa? Priory park? You mean the cricket pitch? How was that set up?

Went to uni in Chichester and never heard of gigs there

Not sure if it's a cricket pitch but it was up by North Street. Only a tiny little day fest.

I've been teaching at Bishop Luffa where strangely another efester just left school there!

Yeah they sometimes set up and small tent and have gigs there. Status Quo played years ago. Probably a few other big-ish names too but I only remember that as my parents went. Used to have a fairly popular Real Ale & Jazz festival.

I went to school at Luffa

I'm an idiot :ninja:

Well I never. I was probably too busy wallowing in my own filth to realise there were good events going on outside of our Uni bubble. I mean it's no S Club 3 is it.

Plus I've just realised I wouldnt have been there if previous years were similar dates. Summer innit - was back in the North London ends.

1. Radiohead - Primavera

2. Craig David - Pukkelpop

3. LCD Soundsytem - Pukkelpop

4. Stone Roses - Etihad

5. Saint Etienne - On Blackheath

Worst - The Boredoms at Primavera - hands down the worst band I've ever seen. Atrocious.

The Lemon Twigs have just gatecrashed my top 5.  God knows what kind of childhood they must have had to be so talented at such a young age. Belting.

I forgot to mention Mercury Rev in Tel Aviv  and Daughter in Dallas.

Still, Half Man Half Biscuit in Leeds next week. Straight to number 1!

Stop it!

Did you go to all these places specifically to see these bands or were you there sometimes for other reasons and thought you'd indulge?

You know what actually, don't answer that. I don't want to know.

2016 has not been a year of gigs for me, due to the birth of my (perfect :) ) daughter, however I did see Massive Attack at the Clifton Downs and despite the apocalyptic weather it was an incredible almost cinematic experience.

(must say I am a little envious though of some of the gigs people have listed that they have gone to mind!)

LCD Soundsystem @ Glastonbury

Radiohead @ NOS Alive

Pixies @ Brixton

Sigur Ros @ Glastonbury

Arcade Fire @ NOS Alive

Hot Chip @ NOS Alive

PSB @ Islington Assembly Hall

Jamie T @ Brixton

Have Super Furries on Friday and Placebo next Thursday to round off the year and they'll no doubt make the list of notables. Plenty of other gigs this year but those are the standouts for me, haven't been as busy this year as normal. Already have Grandaddy, Flaming Lips and St Paul and the Broken Bones set for the first 3 months of next year.

I was in Dallas for Wrestlemania. I went to Tel Aviv for Mercury Rev specifically. Other that, just a big summer tour, specifically to watch the bands/go to the festivals.

Was this at Deaf Institute? Was half tempted but it's a really busy week for me. Might have to get Gorilla tickets now, love their debut.
