Isn't it more likely to be Olivia Dean, Harry Styles and then something old school on Sunday like Stevie Nicks?

Stevie Nicks isn't a headliner, legend suits her but probs too expensive.

Old school headliner could be Oasis if they need an oldie and I;m sure they'll ask the question.

I'd say those two plus... band.

And there's probably 3 (4, a push) who'd be in the running for that, realistically; though I could be forgetting someone.

They would have to pull someone pretty spectacular out of the bag to rescue that sh*t show. Can’t think of anyone who fits.

Taste innit, as ever. Oasis or Fontaines, and they'd have me hook line, and sinker.

Radiohead would be pretty special to some as well, though I dunno if they'd realistically be in the mix. Who knows at this point

One persons sh*t show is another persons dream headline set. I think most people would be extremely happy with those two headlining. If they got 3 headliners who you would want to headline I’m sure most people would have a big moan about it. Maybe accept the people who play the pyramid aren’t your cup of tea

To me Harry is like O Rod last year in the sense that early on there wasn't many substantiated rumours (it's a bit early for that anyway) but it just really makes sense and fits. He'll almost certainly be on the road in 2027 and the Rest is Entertainment podcast said his team want him to do it or words to that effect. Can't really see why the fest wouldn't want him as he's massive.

I may be wrong but I feel like Rodrigo news came relatively early last year.

Having said that, though, I couldn't tell you when, exactly. We're still just under 14 months out, that is a long time.

I'd say that the point that O Rod became more than just a rumour was October 2024 when she announced the rescheduled dates for her Manchester shows - she rescheduled what had originally been Friday and Saturday night shows for the Monday and Tuesday nights after Glastonbury. Obviously everyone saw just how suspicious the timing was. Not definitive of course but certainly far more to go on than we've currently got for anyone so far this year.

Prior to that it had mostly just been "she'd make sense" kind of rumours probably not much different than we're currently hearing regarding Mr Styles.

Yeah it's hard to remember exactly but it became nailed on for sure when she announced the rearranged Manchester dates as incident says above. She defo always made a lot of sense with her love of the fest and having played before.

Next pointer this year will be Oasis announcing their 2027 tour assuming it comes in May as rumoured.

would bet a large amount of money it'll be styles + olivia dean / raye / carpenter / roan + oasis / fontaines / fender / radiohead - seems nicely balanced.

radiohead only possible if there's anything to these lp10 rumours...

13 months to go. Loads of time for us to get something along the way.

Someone on the Reddit was claiming Olivia Dean as Grimshaw's hint but that could just be reaching.

Wouldn't surprise me, re Olivia Dean. She really has blown up.

I still feel like these Oasis dates will get the ball rolling, whether it's them or not.

a link here is that she presented an episode of the sidetracked podcast with him last year

I think it was Ed O'Brien saying they will be doing more shows from 2027 on, but 20 a year and on different continents each time or something like that. Certainly felt like their own shows and not much space for festivals.

Would be elsewhere for Olivia Dean. I like her music but i have no desire to see her on the Pyramid. I don't think she has a great catalogue for a Pyramid headline show.

Likes to get stuck right in on a session, so I'm told.

No relevance to a headline slot there, I just found it funny

I can't escape the fact Olivia Dean has played every festival since covid, spanning 6 sets across 4 festivals. It would be a cool story for a "regular" to climb up to the headline slot, but I just can't see it happening, I feel like they'll have a year without her first.

Only one of those was a prominent slot on a main stage though, and by the time G27 roles around it will have been 3 years.

Other than folk like us who obsess over this sort of thing noone will really care.

Fair point - I do think she and the festival will frame it more as a gradual climb through the ranks if it happens, and entirely fair enough.

Maybe because he hasn't got the tunes.

My mate who gave me bit of info last year is still saying Harry Styles next year

Harry, Oasis and Sabrina it's pointing to for me. The only thing that would swap Oasis out for Foos for me is if Oasis don't see themselves headlining somewhere with them two.

I can't imagine who's headlining other nights would bother them, in 2027. Who's subbing them, maybe.

The sticking point, if they are in the conversation, would be the fee.

I'll you who they (Noel in particular) would love to sub them - The Strokes. That's self combust territory for me, though, so I'll nip that pipe dream in the bud right now.

Given we're now under the assumption that Oasis will be announcing the tour stuff in October, I'm intruiged to see what info, if any, slips out. 5 months is a long time.

    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
