Only those 6 things?

You poor deprived soul!

Even as a kid I enjoyed most of those but also Billy Connolly, Barry Humphries, Spike Milligan, Monty Python, Victoria Wood, Porridge, Soap, Agony, probably dozens more tbh and that's grown much more as I've got older.

I suspect I watch more comedy than many on here who are more attuned musically.

Ah I forgot about porridge and Morecambe & wise . Bits of Monty python are brilliant but mostly shite. Life of Brian was brilliant and the live show at the Hollywood bowl was really good.

BTW I can't pretend I watched that much of it, but Red Dwarf was 35 yesterday.

Seems a good time for another binge watch - been a while since I’ve watched it!
I never got around to watching the new ones - anyone know if they were any good? Think I avoided them for fear of them being awful.

I actually prefer it to The Life of Brian, although both are great.

Holy Grail over Life of Brian, every day of the week for me.

If Glastonbury had ever considered a full blown comedy headliner atop one of the major stages, that Python reunion a decade or so ago would have been a serious contender. Universal silliness.

Now, get Bill Bailey atop the Park Stage.

Not out of the question, they were on the potential other stage headliner list

Well IF GnR are headlining, then anything is possible

They’ve got a gap in their European festival schedule and weren’t they due to headline Other in 2020?

Yeah they were lined up to headline Other in 2020 so makes sense they’d be booked to do it again. Against Elton makes the most sense, although somebody here claimed to have info they were subbing Elton, so who knows.

    • Never too early to start discussing next year’s headliners right?   I’m not attending this year so thought I’d get the ball rolling as I saw Weezer have a new album out in August I’d expect them to do this or Slam Dunk next year. I mean they’re probably too big for this however I think they’re niche enough that they would maybe do it, it just depends on if the fee is a bit out of range for trees.    It’ll be the 20th anniversary next year so I’d expect some throwbacks and hopefully some big headliners/acts. James has already said he’s made a mad booking that you wouldn’t guess & I think he mentioned that he’s spent something like 80% of this years budget of next years top line already on last weeks 2 promoters 1 pod (Don’t quote me on that).    I reckon they’ll try for and get at least two (not all) of the following - Enter Shikari, AFI, Weezer, Sex Pistols Feat Frank Carter, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls
    • for some reason last night watched series one of Prey on Netflix.   if Legends was written by Timmy Mallet (see above) then Prey seems to have been made by Mr Blobby.   why are all these British crime dramas so sh*t?
    • It'll be all over various Seatfillers based upon previous years at Sandringham
    • The Jayhawks 2026 UK Tour    Sept 15 – Brighton – Corn Exchange  Sept 16 – London – Electric Ballroom Sept 17 – Manchester – Academy 2 Sept 18 – Glasgow – The Garage    For you ‘americana’ lovers. They have a great song book.
    • Weezer just announced a new album & US tour so could add them to the headliner pool. Imagine they’ll do this or trees
