If you've spent months telling everyone how bad an act is and how shit they'll be and they come out and smash it then you've been proven wrong... and people do not like being wrong on the internet.

There was egg on a few faces after the Killers in 2019.

Definitely.

So they can be "right".

I promise you somebody is going to be on here for months on end claiming GNR was dead even if it wasn't.

and they won't even have been there to claim it was dead

Its absolute rank stupidity. I walked past the back of Liam Gallagher's other stage set in 2019 (2019? 2017? i dunno. whenever it was!) and i cant stand his solo stuff or oasis at all, its dreadful nonsense, but i was only walking past - that was enough of an experience from me.

I dont have to shit on other people's enjoyment in the field, i can come home and do that on here 🤣😎

Yep I don't care so much if someone watches it on tv afterwards and says I know you all said it was great but I still thought it was shit but if you actively hate someone and still go and see them you're only ruining your own festival. As Emily said at the time it's like moaning that Cats is still on in London. It might be but nobody is forcing you to watch it.

@kalifire what say you? Is a recording of Duff saying Guns N Roses are playing Glastonbury considered actual evidence that Guns N Roses are playing Glastonbury or do you think we should all hold out for more solid information?

It’s not official confirmation, but it’s as good as we’ll get without that. Unfortunately, it makes them TBC for me.

Somebody that sold more albums than taylor swift last year. But apparently thats not good enough cause he sings in spanish. Also will be on your tele in april if you watch wrestling. He'll be at wrestlemania.

Being enormous in America doesn’t necessarily mean someone is also enormous over here, or Garth Brooks would’ve headlined by now

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
