Obviously there was 2 years of pando in the middle but it was 6 years between the Rep gigs and Eras. Operating on a similar timeline would mean she's not back in the UK until 2028 earliest.

This is true, but I'm not so sure that she *needs* to be touring the UK to headline the festival.

Realistically I think 2028 might be the earliest anyway though because I don't think she does it next year, 2026 is now potentially a fallow year, so you could maybe see 2027/2028.

Also think it's worth noting (not in response to anything you've said) that at her current level of hype she would be a logistical nightmare for the festival. While I don't think her fans would fill the festival just for a single day due to the rumour of her headlining, I do think a significant number of Swifties would show up to the area/hang around the gates convinced that they could hear her set like they have done to all the stadiums so far.

For both her and the festival, the current hype needs to die down.

I think that 25% of the punters only coming for one day of the festival would be fantastic would certainly ease congestion and make it a better experience

Hey, i have a choice of going in either L7 or U28 for eras tour in Cardiff next week but I’m stuck between which one is the better section? Upper you can see everything but lower you would see less stage? But Taylor clearer?

i must admit - upon first glancing over this, i thought you were deciding between going to see L7 or Taylor!

sorry to be of zero use Re: seats...

We were West 28 at Murrayfield which was upper but the views were fantastic. But that was basically right in line with the middle of the diamond whereas I think your upper section is more in the corner so it might not be as good.

From "View from my Seat": L7: https://aviewfrommyseat.co.uk/photo/276497/Principality+Stadium/section-L7/row-18/seat-8/

Seat 7 apparently has a pillar in front of it according to the comment.

U28 would be my preference in your shoes, but in general I quite like being far back to take everything in so that might not be to your taste. Would say you'll definitely see her clearer in L7, just run the risk of having some of your views blocked by equipment, etc.

In general, and this is not for Taylor specifically, I always pick the lower tier due to the sound quality and usually better atmosphere, even if its further away from the stage.

Makes me nostalgic for when my mate's band did two shows there back in 2013. Both of which were very good times.

Though the fact they've only played 3/4 times since indicates it didn't exactly make them.

Quick question on trying to potentially bag tickets (wishful thinking)

Those who managed to get Edinburgh tickets last minute was this using the presale codes sent out last year?

Ticketmaster sent out links to buy tickets last Friday for the 3 nights at Edinburgh. As far as I know, it was only people would had already been short listed who received the link to buy. A few friends and their kids got them pretty easily.  I don’t think AXS sold any of these tickets.  There seemed to be quite a few tickets available - they were approx £55 - seats in the corners of the stadium - behind the stage but view of the screens at the side and Taylor popped her head around a few times. Tickets in the same sections were being sold on Viagogo, etc for £300-£400. Definitely worth keeping an eye for an email.

I've been locked out of the Liverpool sale pages as of yesterday as its an "invite only sale".

I was originally "wait listed" after registering for the ticket sale when the gigs were announced, not the fan pre order registration. So I'm guessing its the album order pre sale people who are allowed to get them.

That activity does suggest there could be something happening

Official confirmation tonight that Midnights and Tortured Poets… do in fact suck and no amount of live dressing up can change that. First two hours of the show had me genuinely hooked but my god did the last hour honk. Even Folkmore which I love on record should’ve be been split in to separate sections as it absolutely dragged and had swathes of people going for piss and drink breaks. Antihero the saving grace of the last hour as it was the only time people seemed to get invested again through the hour of drudgery.

im not the hugest taylor fan (altho do like her!) but was hooked from start to finish and never considered moving from my floor spot throughout the entire thing! Nor did i see anyone else moving! (Edinburgh night 1 front left standing)

i suppose its a lot easier to move and go to bar in a seat

i felt like i was surrounded by hardcore fans which is fair that they got the tickets

also didnt feel like any of it dragged, it all goes by so quickly.

she is also obviously going to give her 2 most recent albums the spotlight as any artist would do.

Absolutely superb show. What an artist she is - and as expected the production is first class.
Thought the TTPD songs were all really good live, and some of her strongest vocals. Agree with the Midnights songs dragging at the end though. Seems to just whimper out after 3 hours of bangers.

Yeah looking at a bunch of the setlists so far, I've been concerned about that final stretch. I'm at Wembley Night 2 and have been strongly considering sacking off Midnights post-AH, or even binning it completely. Guff album.

I'm hoping she's got some bangers lined up as 'Surprise Songs' as she's been dropping a lot of TTPS stuff in there so far. Could help 'save' that last hour.

    • Another note, if I didn't mention the food in the arena for main stage is right at the back. Bands wise they do very well for but as a festival so far they pros are outweighed quite heavily currently for me.
    • On another note for RIP as an event, there is some good things but there are so many things people going to UK festivals would hate and how far behind they are.  Consistent network and water, beer and pretzel like food is brought around to buy in the crowds. Topping up on the wristband is good. The camping and food arrangement is not good, you really need cooking kit. Water points inside the arena are bonkers, water points in camping are a faff unless you are close enough in general camp. Merch stands are crazy. You MASSIVELY need to think about your lidl shop for camping and try and do it so you've one stop. It's definitely worth it getting to a camping shop here, picking up a rolley between your mates and stacking it for the walk back....lidl is cheap though, not hard getting in but Thursday queues getting in and into the camping is mad. You have to register first for a wristband as well leaving any bigger bags behind so pull to a side if only two and do it separately. I was joining a WhatsApp group for solo camp so went with the flow but I've learnt. Had it been me or just two my tent would have been down much quicker.  Big final note, I got a fresh and black 3 man from decathlon before coming and put in bigger suitcase with my airbed and sleeping bag...do this. Take a smaller option for your clothes. If you go to Munich first, book your train to Nuremberg as far in advance as you can....very important!....it hikes crazy. Probably bettee overall for baggage sizes to do BA both ways but you do then need to go back to Munich after too. Use the B&B hotel hbf the night before....its very nice, comfortable, cheap and within 10 minutes of the station which also serves as a transport stop 15 minutes from the registration.  Get up literally like 5am with everything back the night before, shower and go. Transport is free anyway for festival ticket holders during the duration.  Would I just choose to travel in each day and back to a hotel?, on the basis of sleep and getting accommodation cheap enough for 3 nights i might just do especially if I picked the ticket up early enough. It doesn't feel like a festival in a normal sense....unless you are in general yoi have to exit on the paths outside the camping to walk down and in which also applies for getting water so have a stock up. Toilets are in the camping.
    • Yup and they aren't cheap   Glastonbury is different though, it's a place that will pack out for rarities they don't usually see. Download strictly speaking shouldn't be the strangest place for Avril to pop up of she had been a touring artist of longer times over the years.   Avril and GC would get the same billing for me and GC are selling arenas out quicker than Avril sold Ally Pally. Bearing in mind she'd pnly done soem Brixton dates before.
    • Avril gets above GC on rarity (see Cypress Hill this year). She drew in something like 70,000 at Glastonbury, so much so that they had to close the field off. I’d wager that she would get the biggest crowd of the entire weekend if she was to play DL.
