  1. I follow a few people who are bigger fans than me on twitter so I'm seeing a lot of tweets in the general view of "can't believe Taylor dropped a double album with THIRTY ONE TRACKS and there's not a single skip". Each to their own, but I just can't get on board with that. I quite liked the final 10 tracks. Reckon if she had just released those, with Florida, So Long London, The Black Dog and But Daddy I Love Him added in I'd have enjoyed this far more. But the overwhelming word I'd use to describe this is "slog" and that's not what you want.
  2. I'm also not a fan of how long this is. Respectfully, I don't need to listen to 31 tracks. Edit it down, give me your best work. There's probably a really good 12-14 track album in here, but it feels very watered down for the theatre of a surprise double album.
  3. I'm only 21 tracks in so far. It's fine. It's listenable. There's a couple of decent tunes. Have yet to find a track that would come close to my top-10 from her though.

    2024 New Music

New Maggie Rogers album is a delightful listen. Only gripe is that it's only 35 minutes long but I guess that just means the whole album gets played more by me. The Kill the pick of the bunch for me.
  5. Having had a couple of weeks now to dig into some of the acts I hadn't listened much too, here are five tracks I'm buzzing to (hopefully) hear this year: Blondshell - Sepsis NewDad - White Ribbons Alvvays - Marry Me Archie LCD Soundsystem - All My Friends Kenya Grace - Only In My Mind

Been enjoying her stuff since listening when the lineup came out. Hoping she has a couple of spots over the festival - think something at night would be better than the daytime slot at Woodsies, that being said I think I'll almost definitely be there
  7. Stuck 3-4 tracks from everyone on the 5 stages from the poster here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5uEj7lV2oTja7OMw6CtJI3?si=722f9af86edb4a18 Have a 3-4 hour drive tomorrow to visit my parents, and back on Sunday on Sunday so will get a good listen to most of the acts.
  8. When the lineup dropped earlier today my view was that it was good enough, not as exciting as last year, but there would be enough for me to see. Put together a playlist (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5uEj7lV2oTja7OMw6CtJI3?si=c4d955d08ed5421d) with 3-4 songs from every act on the 5 stages on the poster (I think I got them all anyway) and in the matter I've 7 and a half hours I'm so much more excited than I was last year. For my taste, the undercard of this festival is absolutely stacked.
  9. Hadn't realised I'd heard Kenya Grace before. Strangers has a sound that was/is popular on TikTok and Instagram reels. Blondshell. Has already gone into my must sees. Quite like the sound of Jordan Rakei so far.
  10. Other Stage appears to be where the majority of gripes are so far, outside of SZA headlining. Interesting (to me anyway) that it's the stage that we have the least names for so far. 15 on the poster vs. 24 acts that played last year. Couple of good acts filling that out elevates this lineup a decent amount I'd wager (and I'm happy enough already)
  11. I've stuck a few songs from everyone on the 5 stages part of the poster so that I can find a few more people that I'll want to see. Already added Blondshell to my list https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5uEj7lV2oTja7OMw6CtJI3?si=88223b24aa7b4324
  12. Headliners: SZA isn't for me but I'll be at Coldplay and probably Dua Lipa based on this lineup. National "clashing" with SZA the best case scenario. Rest of the lineup: Shania Twain, LCD, PJ Harvey, Michael Kiwanuka, Janelle Monae, Avril Lavigne, Last Dinner Party, Brittany Howard, Soccer Mommy all people I'd be happy to see (Avril and Soccer Mommy probably my must sees in there) Stuck 4 songs from everyone onto a spotify playlist and already finding more I'd like to see. Not a wow lineup at all, but more than enough that I'm still thrilled that I got a ticket.
  13. When was the first poster drop last year?
  14. I'd be pretty happy with that trio to end the day on Friday

    2024 Headliners

Last year was my first Glastonbury and we went to the Pyramid for all three headliners, which was fine but I did wish we caught a headline set at another stage. Dua - Coldplay - SZA would be fine for me as I'd definitely see Coldplay (never seen them live and imagine it'll be a good show), Dua would be a maybe depending on who was headlining elsewhere and I'd give SZA a miss unless there was nobody else I was remotely interested as a headliner.
